This comfortable 3-bedroom house is on the water at Wombarra, with direct access at the bottom of the garden to the rockshelf (depending on the time of year, there will be rockpools or a small sandy beach), and a short walk around the rock platform or via Lawrence Hargrave Drive to Wombarra ocean baths and Wombarra beach for lifesaver-patrolled swimming (Sept-Apr) as well as surfing.
The house's living room and deck look out to full ocean views, perfect for dolphin and whale spotting. The renovated interior features polished floors, two living areas, a large main bedroom with queen bed, a double bedroom and a bedroom with two singles; a bathroom with bath and a separate toilet. The kitchen is well equipped, and there is a gas bbq, dvd player, iPod dock, books and local information on everything from hangliding at Stanwell Tops to surf school and the best cafes and shops in nearby Coledale and Thirroul.
On The Waterfront is a 5-minute drive south of the Sea Cliff Bridge and a 70-minute drive from Sydney CBD.

My girlfriend and I, and 2 other couples booked this house to come down for a wedding that was in Wombarra. We all came down from the city and had an awesome time. The house is beautiful and right on the coast, the views from the balcony and sitting room are stunning. It's well looked after, clean with all the furniture and utensils you'd need. Although, because of the wedding we never got to spend a lot of time in the house we all said we'd definitely come back for a longer visit.

Xmas at Wombarra was wonderful. The house was large enough for 3 teenagers to have space, and provide adult relaxation! The view was magical, and the unexpected bonus of watching the Sydney to Hobart yachts on Boxing Day made us smile.
It was a perfect place to have a break.

We cannot reccomend this house enough, firstly, it is set in the most beautiful position in Wombarra and has amazing views over the ocean, we saw whales and dolphins from the decking on a regular basis. The house is spacious, and has all of the facilites and extras that make your holiday a special time. The owner, Jane, is the most lovely, helpful lady that you could hope to meet and she couldn't do enough to ensure that our stay was sucessful. We stayed for 4 weeks, 2 adults and 4 children and would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing break by the Ocean in a lovely home. Fabulous!

This is a lovely house - spacious, very welcoming and attractive, but not too precious-feeling. The house is very well equipped - kitchen gear, music, books and a great one to entertain in.
The view from the big deck and family room is great, which means you can still enjoy the location even if it was wet or too windy to sit outside.

What a great holiday! The house was lovely and equipped with everything you could possibly want. This is my second visit and I cant recommend better. The new deck cover meant we got to stay out and enjoy the exceptional view even in the wetter weather. The kids loved the garden and the beach and didnt want to leave. Will be back again as soon as we can.

This property was exactly as promoted on the website. A beautifully neat and well cared for 3 br house with excellent facilitiies and wonderful views from the family room and balcony. Even with so-so weather we had a great stay with the ocean view and home comforts. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals or if you want to eat out beautiful Austinmer is just down the road. Thoroughly recommnended for a relaxing holiday.

We stayed here for my friends wedding and it was absolutely brilliant. Had everything we could possibly need and more. The deck and being by the sea was a wonderful respite from the wedding mayhem and a good place to go back and recharge! So close to the most beautiful beaches for swimming and Moore Street in Austinmer which had an awesome cafe, hairdressing salon and home wares store for me to do a wee bit of retail and pampering therapy. We will be back and it will be for longer next time. House nice and clean and had all we could need in it.

It had amazing views to be enjoyed on the balcony - we found it so charming we spent most of our time around the house relaxing rather than venturing out to explore the surrounding areas!

It seems that the owners of "On The Waterfront" had thought of everything to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Our entire family fell in love with this beautiful cottage by
the sea! Plenty of room for all six of us and plenty of things for our four boys to do - beach and adventuring by day and making use of the well-stocked "games cupboard" by night. The view from the spacious deck was just spectacular - the Pacific is literally at the back door! The binoculars provided meant that all of us spent lots of time gazing out at the ocean.
We're planning to come back again in the September holidays - not only did
we love the house, its ideal location and the fantastic views, but we also want to do some more reading from the great selection of books on the cute "bookworm" shelf! We had a fantastic stay - the huge folder of essential and relevant local information was extremely useful and very thoughtfully put together. Wish that we could have stayed much, much longer!

We had guests from the US who needed to stay nearby for work. They loved the neat-as-a-pin house, especially the deck from where they saw a pod of dolphins on their first morning.
It made such a difference to have things like a good selection of things to read, plenty of local information and different places to sit depending on the light and time of day.
They are surfers so they are going to come back and stay again for pleasure next time!

The house was much bigger than expected from photos on website; we had 4 adults one teenager and a young child and we were all quite comfortably accomodated.
every need we could possibly have had, had been anticipated by the owners. It had a lovely welcoming atmosphere.
Lots of helpful local info and trivia in the handbook supplied.
Good kitchen, great house for entertaining, and the view was superb.
Plenty of things to do within walking distance.
Easy living by the sea.

Great location. On private beach with access via your own path.
Setting was excellent. Great view and private verandah.
Accommodation was better than expected with two tv areas, 3 eating areas and a excellent, well equiped kitchen.
Was only there two nights but could of easily stayed for a fortnight. Is in a great suburb with Thirroul (shopping) close by, and some of the best beaches I have ever seen.
Thank You to Jane who made the whole experience a breeze. She was helpful, keep me up to date and was available at all times.
Would reccommend to everyone, BUT that would make it harder for me to return and get availability.

The only complaint that I could possibly have would be that our stay was not long enough!
We had a wedding to attend in nearby Coledale, and this was the perfect place for us to get ready from. The next day we had time to relax and recover with a big breaky on the balcony overlooking the spectacular ocean views.
Jane couldn't have been more helpful. We loved the homely feel of the house. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and everything so clean and tidy.
We will definitely be back, hopefully for a week this time.

Me and 2 companions have just come back from a great weekend away at this house. Jane (the owner) was very helpful with directions to the house, sorting out linen and so on (I've rented many holiday homes and its not always this straightforward). Very homely; comfy beds, lots of kitchen equipment, two loung areas with lots of great books, but most impressive of all would have to be the deck, with a sweeping view of the ocean. We were lucky enough to see at least 10 whales cruise by in the space of about an hour. We will be telling our friends about it and hope to take some there in the summer months for a sunset deck dinner! A proper home from home.

In addition to the 100% positive comments about this property so far I would like to add:
The house is very tastefully appointed, lovely couches, nice big parker tables etc, all in very good condition (a rarity in most holiday houses i have stayed in)
The kitchen has an excellent larder with sea salt, nice balsamic & olive oil etc. This dosent sound like a big deal, but it saves heaps of hassle and expense of buying these key ingredients from local stores.
All in all a holiday house that has been put together by people who genuinely want you to have the best experience possible, for a very reasonable price. Thank you guys!

The cleaner was very lucky to have not encountered our group barricaded inside refusing to leave! We loved our weekend. House and contents (especially in the kitchen, which in weekend rental places are often second rate) were great without being Over The Top. Choice of 3 eating spaces and 3 hang out spaces was unexpected and really made the house seem quite big. Imagine for groups with kids/teens this would be perfect. Pathway to the beach was well trod on such a beautiful w/e and fisherpeople were friendly. Very happy to provide this recommendation and continue to support such a friendly and obliging host.

We loved this place - SO comfortable, and stylish without being try-hard. One of the best equipped kitchens of any holiday house I've visited kept our cooking-obsessed crowd happy for days. The water was perfectly clear and gorgeous, and we skipped down to the private-seeming 'plunge pool' on the rock ledge every time we felt like a quick dip. Comfy beds, lovely linen and a huge comfortable couch for sprawling and watching the amazing view. Just an all-round beautiful weekend. Thanks from a bunch of happy campers.

On The Waterfront was nothing short of delightful. Perfect weekend getaway, so close to Sydney. The house was in great condition, with everything you could ever need, and lovely linen and finishes.
