The majestic Fitz Mansion 1 bedroom apartment is located in the heart of St Kilda on cosmopolitan Fitzroy Street. Fashionable restaurants, hip cafes, pubs, theatres and the beach are moments from your front gate. It is luxurious, comfortable and convenient accommodation for the business or leisure traveler. The apartment is available for short, medium and long-term lets. This is another property managed by Amazing Apartments By The Bay.
The spacious newly renovated apartment is located in a magnificent Victorian Gold Rush Era mansion. The moment you step through the front gate into the grand formal courtyard you have entered another time. A time when everything was built over-sized and built to last. You'll notice the beautiful "iron lace" balconies, and the intricate tessellated tile veranda. The apartment has 12 ft high ceilings with ornate ceiling roses, and Baltic pine floorboards. The fabulous living room with its gas log open fireplace looks out through a magnificent bay window onto the leafy formal courtyard. There is a leather sofa that converts to a comfortable double bed and there is also a high definition 42" plasma TV with access to 15 channels. A dining table for four sits in the bay window. On the other side of the room play at the chess table and look out through double doors onto the private courtyard with Beefeater BBQ. The building's walls are so massively thick the apartment is eco-friendly, needs no air conditioning and only uses fans to circulate air for summer comfort. There are electric wall heaters for winter warmth.
The cozy bedroom also has double doors and access to the private courtyard and you'll sleep well on the comfy double bed. Outer glass doors here can be closed to reduce most sounds from outside so your sleep wont be disturbed. Over another fireplace with gas log fire is a 32 LCD TV. The bedroom has a huge wardrobe for all your things. The well fitted out kitchen with Smeg appliances and granite bench-tops will make you really feel like cooking. Pamper yourself in the luxurious bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. Secure off street parking completes the picture.
The perfect location from which to explore Melbourne, everything you could ever want is right here or a stroll or short tram ride away. The tram stops near the front gate and the famous St Kilda Beach and Sea Baths is at the end of the street. Before the beach is Luna Park and nearby is Acland Street with it's famous European cake and pastry shops. Hop on a tram and go into the Melbourne city centre and shop in the exclusive boutiques of Collins Street and explore the vibrant surrounding laneways. Bask in the cultural precinct of Southbank. Marvel at the architecture of Federation Square or the splendour of The National Gallery of Victoria on St Kilda Road. Don't miss taking in an Australian Rules Football game or cricket match at the famed MCG
If arriving in to Melbourne by plane, the Frankston & Peninsular Airport Shuttle from the airport can drop you right outside our front door, and Melbourne's romantic trams in Fitzroy Street take you to and from the city centre.

The eight nights we have stayed at the Fitz Mansion have been fantastic. Although we were both born and bred in Melbourne, we have never stayed in St Kilda. Now having lived in "BrisVegas" for the past 18years our trip to Melbourne has been extraordinary. We have never felt so comfortable. Fantastic location with everything at the doorstep. Eat out or Eat In , cosy fireplace, comfy bed and nice hot shower. We will definitely be back.

The 4 of us had a great stay in this amazing and energetic city. One of the keys to success was this wonderful apartment in the middle of vibrant St Kilda, the best place to stay in Melbourne. We really felt like home in this well equipped and cosy little house.
