Guest Reviews

  • "Exceptionally beautiful and tranquil setting with a spacious, well appointed cottage and a charming hostess. I recommend it to anyone going 'off the beaten path' and will definitely be going back!"

  • "This is a really lovely place to stay if you like a beautiful out-of-the-way setting and big friendly rambling non-pretentious old farmhouses. But more than that, your hosts, Vanessa and Daniel, are two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. They manage to be extremely helpful and hospitable while respecting your privacy. They are interested in you without intruding, and are very open about themselves and their lives on the farm if you ask. We got to help with farm activities because we wanted to, and thoroughly enjoyed it and felt useful. Vanessa and Daniel drove us via remote tracks and roads to a beautiful nearby waterfall, which was really worth seeing. We also did some fishing, kayaking and walking, and lots of swimming in the pool. Our 7-year-old girl was in tears at having to leave the chickens, the dogs and Wally the calf (he was being hand-reared because his mother rejected him). We stayed for nearly two weeks, and would love to go again."

  • "Very enjoyable stay; the accommodation was delightful and the hosts were most helpful and gracious. Our children loved the chance to visit the animals with a real farmer, and enjoyed cooling off in the pool and walking along the creek. "
