Description
“Bangalay” is a 15 acre piece of paradise set on 300 metres of absolute waterfront, with only virgin bush and water as neighbours. Just a 15 minute drive (or a 20 minute boat ride) from the Narooma township through the magnificent Bodalla State Forest.
Two separate properties are available: a two-bedroom cottage and a one-bedroom apartment. Each is situated within 30 metres of the waterfront with use of a private beach and boat ramp.
Bangalay Cottage is set in its own private place amongst native trees looking out over the water, and decorated in a casual yet elegant coastal style. It has two double bedrooms, an open plan living-dining and kitchen area spilling out to a spacious veranda, most suitable for a family of four or two couples (or more with the sofa bed in the living room).
The newly completed Bangalay Apartment is a sumptuous, 70 square metres with wrap-around water views and a large private terrace-cum-entertainment area. It is designed especially for couples who wish to luxuriate amidst its contemporary designer furniture, interspersed with Asian antiques and scrolls.
Both have fully equipped gourmet kitchens, pure cotton sheets and towels, TV, DVD players, audio systems, outdoor tables, chairs and chaise lounges, and access to an extensive collection of books, music and videos. On arrival you will be greeted with the aroma of freshly baked bread, with tea, coffee and the basis of your first breakfast provided!

Enjoy wrap-around watery views from your private retreat, where the only signs of activity are jumping fish, water birds and the low putt-putt of the oyster farmers’ punt making their daily rounds.
Whichever property suits, at “Bangalay” you will be able to stay in complete relaxation mode. Watch kangaroos graze from your private verandah, marvel at the prolific bird life,fish from your own beach, collect wild oysters, or take off from the private boat ramp to enjoy the pristine wonders of Narooma’s famed Inlet. You can even venture out to sea to do some whale watching, diving or ocean fishing around nearby Montague Island.
