Environmental Details and Special Touches
Even though we try to provide all the details that you need for a relaxing and special stay with us but in essence, we try to keep things very simple, and in the details where possible, we have made environmental considerations.
We clean green throughout the cottage, using Australian brand ‘Tri-nature’ cleaning products throughout as well as home remedy favourites such as vinegar and eucalyptus oil. We are happy to share our recipes with our guests.
Our wood shavings for our composting toilet are sourced from the KANGAROO VALLEY WOODCRAFTS, as a by-product of all the wonderful timber work done by Gavin. This wonderful local woodshop is in the heart of our village shopping district.
We line dry our bedding as much as possible and have both compost and recycling buckets for your stay and in all the details of how we manage the cottage, we aim to be
We also encourage guests to keep these environmental considerations when staying including power usage and recycling.
Even our cottage design and hot water heating (thermal) is environmental, which not only adds to your comfort but is easier on the environment.
We source our products and services for the cottage locally. We try to support local small business and refer all our guests coming for weddings, special events or on their honeymoon to MAYA ORGANIC BEAUTY THERAPY in Nowra.
We aim to have a beautiful cottage and a professional business, where the guests can come for a relaxing stay with their comfort considered, style a key factor and 'green details' throughout.
As Kangaroo Valley is a plastic bag free town we have a calico bag for you to use during your stay as well as a smart ‘shopping trolley’ so you can walk with ease to and from the cottage to the village.
In all the details of our cottage we want to create a comfortable and stylish home away from home, not a hotel or just accomodation but a place that is inviting with attention to detail and character that will make for a memorable stay.
