5 Palms Beach House at Midge Point is approx 35km South of Proserpine, 100kms North of Mackay on the Whitsunday Coastline. Fishing / Crabbing / Golf / Horse riding, Beach and Bush walking are all to be enjoyed at the beachside hamlet of Midge Point.
The Beach House is ideal for a family beach holiday, accommodating up to 8 people in the 2 bedroom + bedsit lodging (2 x Queensize bunk beds with King single beds above and a queensize waterbed). The Beach House is fully insect and security screened throughout and air-conditioned in the main bedroom and living room.
As well as a fully appointed kitchen inside, an outside gas barbeque is provided for guests use, perfect for barbequing your freshly caught fish or mud crabs.
Locals launch their boats straight off the beach (vehicle access 250m away) or you can utilise the boat ramp facilities at nearby Laguna Quays marina, or fish straight off the beach (100m from the front door).
Fishing gear is available at the local Tackle Shop.
If golf is your thing, the world-class golf course at Laguna Quays is close at hand.
Excellent Horse trail riding is also available at Bloomsbury (15 minutes drive).
If you would like to eat out, dine at the Midge Point Tavern, Laguna Quays Resort restaurant or Laguna Quays Marina Bar.
Or enjoy takeaway 'fish and chips',sitting on the beach or esplanade from the local Takeaway shop open 7 days.
You might prefer to pack up a basket and take it to the beach esplanade or local park and make use of the free BBQ facilities and picnic tables provided by our local council!
