Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life but still want affordable access to world class resort facilities? Well consider a holiday in our ecocabin on South Stradbroke Island.

From the moment you get on the ferry and glide along the broadwater, you start to leave the hectic pace of the mainland behind you. Your destination is South Stradbroke Island which lies off the coast north of the Gold Coast.

Covered by tropical forests and coastal woodlands, South Stradbroke Island offers the contrast between the calm, protected waters of the western beaches, and the sand dunes and surf of the eastern beaches. There are many bushwalks on the island, taking in secluded beaches, ocean views and abundant forest. Check out the resort's website at for more information on the resort's range of facilities.

The island is home to a variety of wildlife, including the Golden Wallaby, which is not found anywhere else. South Stradbroke Island is one of the few places on the east coast where you can watch the sun rise and set over water.


When you arrive at the resort, your luggage will be taken directly to our cabin and you can explore the resort's many attractions and facilities such as pool, tennis courts, sailing, swimming at the patrolled surf beach or dining at the award winning restaurant. Alternatively our cabin has a well equipped kitchen and the cabin is handy to the local general store to stock up on provisions.

Getting There

A regular ferry service runs from the Couran Cove Terminal on Hope Island (northern end of Gold Coast) to South Stradbroke with the journey taking approx 40 minutes. The Terminal is located at John Lund Drive, Hope Harbour Marina and secure parking is available with reasonable rates ($5 per day with a maximum of $25 per stay). The return ferry trip costs $47 per adult and $25 per child (3 to 14 years old) and $125 for a family pass (2 adults and 2 children per booking).

You need to arrive 45 minutes before departure and an airport style check-in of luggage occurs.

Please note: payment of ferry and cark park fees are paid directly to the resort when you checkout.
