Cloudland is a simply stunning secluded hideaway amongst the clouds at the top of Mt Dandenong. It is just a few minutes from many wedding reception venues, 45 mins east of Melbourne CBD, and 20 mins from the Yarra Valley. In the heart of the Dandenong Ranges this 2 bedroom house (plus beautiful bungalow) sleeps 6 and makes the perfect base to relax and unwind or explore the surrounding area. Even two days here is enough to completely refresh the soul.

Commanding uninterrupted views from large windows in every room, you will instantly feel a million miles away.
It is nestled in a large private garden adjacent to the spectacular arboretum...a 10 acre tree museum.

Wake up floating amongst the clouds, enjoy a BBQ on the deck, take a soak in a bubble bath, or cosy up in front of the log fire with a good book. Watch a DVD or cook up a storm in the spacious and fully equipped gourmet cooks' kitchen. When it's time to sleep, gaze out at the clear, star studded sky from one of two queen size beds.

The kids will love the country atmosphere, the abundance of open space to explore, and trees to climb. The garden also attracts many native birds and animals.

Cloudland is a lovely place to escape. We fell in love with it, and we hope you do too!

  • "We stayed at Cloudland for 3 days leading up to our wedding which was a perfect place to chill out and prepare amongst all the stressful mayhem! The property is beautifully decorated and clean with a gas BBQ which had come into good use. We would come to stay here again - perhaps in winter with the log fire!"
    Christina, February 2012

  • "Wonderful location and ambience. Loved the well appointed kitchen including the large oven and gas cooker. Bedding and heating were very comfortable. One drawback for us was the gas fired water heating. Special touches were the herb garden and the extensive well maintained garden. Great place from which to explore trails or to relax. Will definitely be using in the future and recommending the house to our friends. Thank you Sam."
    Helena, January 2012

  • "A wonderful, wonderful, wonderful property. Unbelievably beautiful and well setup. Our holiday was one of the best we've ever had and we've never seen our kids so happy. Thank you so much for sharing this piece of paradise with us we will definitely be back."

  • "We would highly recommend Cloudland - it's a quiet and relaxing place to stay with an abundance of natural light to help lift your soul. Loved the resident bunnies and the veggie patch too."

  • "For the second year in a row we went to Cloudlands for our Xmas in July. Completely perfect from roaring log fires to stunning countryside and beautiful accommodation. Family friendly (our three year old already asking when we are going back!) and less than an hour from Melbourne. "
    Stephen, August 2011

  • "Thank you for your beautiful accommodation! We had a wonderful long weekend over the Queen's Birthday break, including using the open log fire. The whole property was beautifully presented (inside and out) and we felt like we were on a farm property. Our 1 and 4 year old loved walking on the bushtrack out the back. We will definitely be recommending this to our friends. "

  • "Absolute heaven! We loved the peace and privacy, and the house is set up so perfectly for relaxation and recharging. The arboretum and surrounding gardens were beautiful. Waking up to the views of nature across the decks from both sides of our bedroom was magnificent. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back"

  • "Thank you for letting us experience Cloudland at Mt Dandenong. We had a lovely time and really enjoyed the surrounding villages and parks and activities. Coming home at the end of a day out and cooking in that beautiful kitchen was a real treat. What is important to us as a holiday destination is to still have a "place to call home" at the end of the day and Cloudland certainly met that criteria."
