Balmain is one of Sydneys oldest working-class suburbs, and the place where most of Sydneys ferries were built. So close to the city but secluded from much of the hustle & bustle. It is now a colourful and artistic suburb, home to some of Australias best-known writers, actors, film directors, musicians and artists.
This air-conditioned semi detached house with an Asian themed decor can sleep 6people + 1 cot. Situated in the waterside suburb of Balmain, with its enchanting village atmosphere, this three-floor residence has been recently upgraded to enhance its appeal.
Relax and lay back on the Queen sized bed in the main bedroom which opens up onto your own private balcony where you can lay in bed and gazing at the famous bridge, watch the city lights and see the magnificent New Years Fireworks. Or pop the cork from that chilled bottle of wine & sit on the balcony at the table for two.
Get away from the rest of the household in the seclusion of bedroom 2 downstairs and soak in the quiet stillness. The baby cot is also located in this room for relaxed peacefulness.
Bedroom 3, also at Entry level is "Just right" to fit a Single Bunk bed.
All bedrooms come fully equipped with all linen plus built-in wardrobes & hangers to stow away luggage & hang out your clothes to get out those creases. The washing machine & drier is neatly tucked away out of sight but close to the clothes line at the side of the house.
The cosy separate lounge at the front of the house has a BIG screen TV so you can kick back to watch DVD's or the Sports on a rainy day. But on a fine sunny day, go out & enjoy what Balmain has to offer.
A separate mini study is located at the rear of the house next to the bathroom.
There is a fully equipped kitchen which leads out onto the courtyard which has a table and 6 chairs for alfresco dining during the summer months. But with all the lovely restaurants and eateries in Balmain within easy walking distance you may not feel like cooking. Just take a stroll to Darling St and splurge on all the mouthwatering meals available.
Street parking is available and there is a parking permit to use if you have a car. All the conveniences of home while you're working or on holidays. A Booking Bond is required which is returned at the end of the Stay subject to a satisfactory inspection of the apartment.
Stylish cafés, bistros, pubs and restaurants burst with creative energy. Its pulsating nightlife is a magnet for a cosmopolitan crowd.
Browse up and down Darling Street for your fill of retail therapy galleries, bookshops, flowers, homewares, deli's, childrens wear and toy shops.
Explore back streets and spot the different architectural styles typical of the 1800s and early 1900s, from wrought-iron and sandstone to timber workers cottages.
Party on at one of the many great hotels, such as the Unity Hall, Cat & Fiddle and Royal Oak DJs, jazz, bands and live theatre.
Give the many boutique fashion racks the once over.
Relax at an alfresco café or restaurant and watch the street scene.
The magnificent views of the city & the fireworks from the many parks in Balmain such as Ballast Point Park. And of course, you'll get views of the Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour and Sydney City on New Years Eve.
