Our roomy, clean and comfortable 2 storey family home overlooks beautiful Waikiki Beach in Safety Bay (Rockingham). This property is large enough for more than one family. The large master bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite is situated upstairs, along with a huge sitting room and enclosed balcony with views over the ocean. A separate queen sized suite with it's own bathroom and sitting area is situated at the rear of the house and is available on request for larger bookings.
Downstairs there are two more bedrooms and a TV viewing room for the children with foldout sofa beds. There's a large tiled living room with bar overlooking the outside entertainment area, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and large dining area.
The lockup double garage (accessible from inside the house) keeps your cars secure and cool, while the double driveway ensures plenty of parking, with room for a boat as well. A paved bbq area is located in the spacious enclosed back garden where children can play on the lawn under the trees.
Stroll across the road to the beach for an early morning walk to watch the playful dolphins, walk or cycle along the beach path for some exercise or just sit and enjoy the refreshing breeze and views from the balcony (with spectacular summer sunsets over the ocean!) Or if you would rather unwind with a dvd or book, there is a good selection to choose from.
Owned and serviced by a local family, we will endeavour to ensure you have a wonderful stay. This large holiday house is fully self contained, with linen provided. There is plenty of room for the whole family and more.

Pricing
Pricing is based on a family unit consisting of 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults with no children. We can also accommodate large groups for a very reasonable price.
Applicants need to be aged (at least) 25 to apply.
Ask for a discount for stayz longer than 3 weeks.

Local Attractions
Safety Bay is easily accessed by the Kwinana Freeway, only 47 kms south of Perth.
There are fantastic local beaches for swimming, boating, diving, snorkelling, surfing, skiing, fishing and crabbing. Walk or cycle on the path alongside the pristine ocean or drive a few minutes to rocky Point Peron or the calm waters of Palm Beach. Take the ferry to Penguin Island with the picnic hamper provided to see the little penguins or view the seals on Seal Island. Dolphins are often seen frolicking in Warnbro Sound. There are boat launching facilities just down the road. Check out our beautiful pelicans!
Safety Bay Beach is ideal for windsurfing and kite surfing. Lessons are available at the beach for beginners and more experienced windsurfers can hire equipment. Surfing lessons are also available at Secret Harbour. Along the Safety Bay beachfront, there are free barbecues, shady grassed areas and gazebos with tables and chairs. Cook up some lunch after your swim or grab some fish and chips or pizza from Bent Street.
Churchill and Bell Parks on Palm Beach offer shady picnic areas with free barbecues. There is a variety of play equipment for children of all ages, and cafes for the adults. Pedal bikes are available for hire. A beachside path is ideal for a promenade or cycle. Scuba diving classes operate from here. Breakfast at a cafe overlooking the ocean, or seek out the Sunday markets for a bargain or some fresh produce.
Rockingham City has a large, newly extended shopping centre with several restaurants and a movie complex. As a tourist destination, Rockingham has 7 day trading over the holidays. Most smaller local supermarkets are open every day until late. There are many restaurants in the area to choose from.
The Naragebup Environment Centre located opposite Lake Richmond on Safety Bay Road was the first purpose built environment centre in Western Australia. A valuable community resource, it is a community built, community run, non-profit organization open to the public six days a week. See the baby turtles and learn more about our environment.
Marapana Wildlife Park and zoo, situated on the way to Mandurah, boasts 15 acres of incredible petting zoo with a large variety of animals including koalas, wombats, kangaroos, deer, snakes and dingos. Horse riding (including lessons) is only a short drive away.
Golf courses situated locally include Rockingham Golf Club, Rockingham driving range, Secret Harbour Golf links, and Port Kennedy Golf Course. Kwinana Golf Club, Meadow Springs and others are located nearby. AMF Rockingham Bowling is fun for all the family. Kent Street Tennis Courts are available for hire day and night.
Wineries are located nearby for tastings and purchases. Pack a picnic! Or head further down south to the award winning wine growing region around Margaret River (where the surf is great), or north to enjoy the food and wine delights offered in the Swan Valley. The rolling hills of the Darling scarp are a 20 to 30 minute drive to the east. Here you can bush walk, enjoy a Devonshire tea, visit a museum or picnic.
A trip to the Perth Zoo, Rottnest Island, or a river cruise is also highly recommended. The port city of Fremantle, 28 kms to the north, is home to dozens of restaurants, shops and tourist locations.
Mandurah, 25 kms to the south, is also a bustling coastal city worth visiting. Take a cruise through the canals and you might see dolphins at play. Visit the miniature village or check out the kangaroos and koalas at the Peel Zoo. There is an excellent public transport system in Rockingham which can take you to these destinations.
