Situated at the end of a quiet court, Roos with a View is nestled into a peaceful one and a half acre bush block. You can watch the local wildlife (binoculars provided) while enjoying ever changing views of the magnificent Grampians National Park. At first light the view is often bathed in red with the colour and atmosphere changing as the day progresses. At night clear skies provide brilliant views of a myriad of stars.
Accommodation features
Roos with a View is an easy 10 minute walk to the local Halls Gap Hotel and 3km from Halls Gap centre. Situated on a 1.5 acre bush block it is the ideal place to watch the passing wildlife in the comfort of a well-equipped 3 bedroom family home. First and second bedrooms each contain a queen-sized bed, the third bedroom contains 2 single beds (sleeps 6 in total). There is also a portacot and high chair available.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits are supplied. With reverse cycle air-conditioning, wood-fire (with fire screen) and electric blankets the house is well-equipped for both hot and cold weather.
There is a deck at the back of the house and veranda at the front, providing plenty of outdoor options too.
Facilities include: under cover parking, gas BBQ, Digital TV and DVD player, CD player, CDs, games, books and magazines, binoculars, Simpson & Day bird book, ceiling fans, laundry, spa bath, fire wood and linen (excluding portacot) supplied, .

We really enjoyed our stay and found the house spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything that you could possibly need. It is excellent value for money and we would definitely stay again. We saw lots of Roos and a big Emu came right up to the house. Plenty of birdlife and great walks around Halls Gap. The house is private with lovely views.

This place is amazing. My family has stayed there twice now and we love it. Roos with a View is by far one of the best places I have ever stayed and I highly reccommend it to anyone and everyone.

WE just loved this place. Great position, peaceful, well furnished, great kitchen, very comfortable bed, clean. Loved the daily visit from the emu and his four chicks. All in all - terrific.

Great peaceful location, widelife visiting daily (emus, kangaroos, various birds). Very comfortable, clean house. Large entertaining deck with BBQ. Great for large family or 2 couples)

The house and the environment lived up to every advertised claim, and more. As well as visits from kangaroos, we saw emus and many other species of birds. The peace and quiet of the bushland setiing, and the amazing stars at night make for an unforgettable experience. I would strongly recommend this house to anyone contemplating a holiday at Halls Gap.

One of the best vacations we ever had. Thanks to the beautiful country cottage. Looking from the rusty look outside we had our doubts but once we went through the main door we were blown away by this beautiful house. We had a great time with our kid. The views from every room, including the bathroom was fantastic. How many times do you have kookaburras perched outside your window and emu's going around your house while you make your breakfast. And the kids loved the kangaroos, hare and bibles just at your doorstep. Will visit this place again for sure. I would give it a 10 rating but we just have 5 allowed :(

This place is fantastic if your family loves nature and animals! (We do!) We had a fantastic time exploring all the walking tracks and local towns to return home at then end of the day to a house with everything required for comfort (The log fire is very relaxing. We had visits from Kangaroos and Emus to the house every evening which the kids loved. I'd also recommend a visit to the local Zoo and I have no hesitation recommending Roos with a View at to all.

This place has everything....... wonderful views, lots of wildlife (it's not named Roo's with a view for nothing) a house that is home from home, everything is there. If you want a stress free time go there we didn't want to leave.
