A peaceful 1950's vineyard cottage oozing character and style. Situated in the tranquil Adelaide Hills overlooking McLaren Vale, it offers stunning views from the deck across the vineyards to St Vincents Gulf beyond.
This 3 bedroom cottage sleeps 6 and is surrounded by a large secluded garden. Always beautifully cool in summer (500 m above sea level, ceiling fans in all rooms - rarely required), a slow combustion log fire keeps it cosy in winter. Surround yourself in peace and tranquility, with stunning views, vineyards, birdlife and kangaroos.
Continental breakfast provisions are supplied including hot bread delivered to the door. The cupboards are stocked with essential ingredients (local wine) plus a picnic basket to fill with local produce from the famous Willunga Farmers Market. As well there are fresh flowers in the rooms, a wide range of games, DVD's, music, up to date magazines and plenty of holiday reading.
Local surrounds are noted for bike riding (the Tour Down Under passes directly in front), bush walking in Kuitpo Forrest - 5 minutes away, 5 minutes to local restaurants and wineries, 10 minutes to McLaren Vale and 20 to Fleurieu beaches.

I loved it!
We visited on what felt like the coldest October for a long time but the cottage was beautifully warmed up on our arrival. The beds, duvets and pillows were warm and cosy. The larder was well stocked with basics plus lots of treats esp. the cookie jar. The fresh baked loaf was a welcome treat too. It's nice and central for the peninsular and the hills and located in a picturesque spot. Gets my vote!
