Immediate attractions
Take a leisurely stroll down to the beach or go for a run through some of the surrounding tracks.Plenty of fishing and golfing opportunities also abound. The position of Sand Scape allows easy access to Balnarring Village for shopping or the Balnarring Beach General Store for a quick meal, odds and ends or a coffee.
The bay is protected for children yet you can still catch a wave at Balnarring Point. In summer kite surfing is popular and you can catch a lesson if you wish. If you are more adventurous and the creek is full you can paddle down to Somers where the adjoining Creek and sea meet. The local roads provide some excellent cycling if you want to push it hard or more sedate bike paths if you prefer a slower family ride.
Best of all, sit back, turn the BBQ on and put the feet up.
Wider attractions
There is plenty to do on the Peninsula within 10 minutes from Sand Scape at Balnarring Beach. Here are a few suggestions;
*Take a ferry from Stony Point to Philip Island and make a day off it
*Head to Point Leo to get a bigger wave or just to relax at a fantastic wide open surf beach. Get some surf lessons for the kids
*Head to one of the many wineries for a meal or tasting session
*Get some sailing lessons at one of the local yacht clubs that include Balnarring, Somers, Merrick's, Pt Leo
*Go to the Balnarring Races which run from November to April
*The Balnarring Market runs the third Saturday of each month
