To the East, just a short 300mtr walk, are the Story Bridge and Brisbane River. Republic Apartments is within an easy walk from four of Brisbane's main weekend markets at Riverside Craft Market, Fortitude Valley, Southbank Lifestyle Market and the Queen Street Farmers Market held each Wednesday. To the north is Chinatown and dozens of restaurants from Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Korean, Lao, Vietnamese and Japanese, to name a few, plus even a choice of North Indian restaurants along Brunswick Street. Fortitude Valley is Brisbane's night life and entertainment centre. James Street offers chic boutique shopping. A few minutes walk to the south of Republic Apartments, is the city's shopping precinct including the Queen Street Mall and Central Rail Station. The area is ideal for walkers and joggers. An easy 2km jog across the Story Bridge and back, or 3kms return to the Botanic Gardens, along the Riverside Boardwalk.
Guest amenities: Include a covered heated lap pool (kept at 28 degrees), spa (35 degrees), a large air-conditioned gymnasium and four above-ground levels of free car parking for guests only! Security fob is required to call modern hi-speed 20-person lifts, enter all car parking areas and so controls access to all accommodation levels - ensuring a secure environment for our guests. Wireless broadband Internet is available in all apartments and throughout the building, including poolside (for a fee).
Please note that in order to ensure that all our guests enjoy their stay Republic Apartments has a strict 'No Party and No Gathering Policy'. Persons violating this by-law will be made to vacate immediately. On check-in guests will be asked to provide a valid credit card and matching Drivers Licence or similar identification.

Perhaps Republic Apartments' greatest asset is its location surrounded by the CBD and the Queen Street Mall, Chinatown, trendy Spring Hill and the Brisbane River. A quick 20-minute taxi ride from Brisbane Airport or a 5-minute walk from Central Rail Station or 15-minute walk from Roma Street Station.
Republic Apartments is easily accessable from either Turbot Street (one-way travelling North East) or Ann Street (one-way travelling South West). Both are major thoroughfares that run right through the centre of the city's central business district.
BY CAR FROM THE PACIFIC MOTORWAY OR SOUTHEAST FREEWAY: Take the Turbot Street turn off. Drive up Turbot Street, which is a one-way street, in the right-hand lane. Pass the Sofitel Hotel and straight across Wharf Street, 100mtrs on the right is Republic Apartments. Turn right into Raff Street and then immediately turn left into the first driveway - you will be turning into the Republic Apartments' Visitor Parking area. If no Visitor Bay is available then the Loading Bay in the same area should be free, to park temporarily while you check-in. Please note that you will need to walk around to the main entrance, at the front of the building, in Turbot Street.
BY TRAIN: From Brisbane's Central Station look for the Turbot Street exit. Walk the 300 metres on the right, down Turbot Street toward Chinatown, in the same direction as the traffic (Turbot Street is one-way).
FROM BRISBANE AIRPORT: A 14kms (approx. $45) Taxi ride will take no more than 25 minutes, even allowing for some traffic. Or, $16 per person by train from the airport to Central Rail Station. Please note: Taxis take up to 4 passengers (with up to 2 large suitcases); Station wagon Taxis take up to 4 passengers (with up to 4 large suitcases); Maxi Taxis (Mitsubishi or Torago type people-movers) take up to 10 passengers, the surcharge is $12 per trip and generally need to be booked well in advance.
