Beechworth House is set among beautiful gardens and magnificent trees with views to the Stanley Ranges and backs onto the tranquil gardens of La Trobe University.

Beechworth House was built on the estates carved from the tranquility of the nineteenth century Beechworth Lunatic Asylum.

This family home was built with the respectful acknowledgment of nineteenth century charm but with the comforts modern families and guests expect.

You will have a choice of themed private units or the chic Parisian Apartments upstairs in the main homestead. All the units are air conditioned and there is a choice of King or Queen size ensembles.

We do offer pet friendly accommodation.

We back onto the gardens of the old asylum (now a campus of La Trobe University). We are 1.5km from the charms of Victoria's best preserved gold rush town with it's restaurants, boutiques and galleries.

Walk in the fresh sub alpine air or take one of our sturdy European bicycles!

The deluxe themed units available are:
Asian Dream - Queen size bed, bar fridge, tea/coffee making facility, TV/DVD, ensuite and secure own private garden (great if you seek privacy or want to travel with your dog)
Tuscan Courtyard - Queen size bed, bar fridge, tea coffee making facility, TV/DVD, ensuite and secure courtyard
Garden Bower - King size bed, bar fridge, tea/coffee making facility, TV/DVD/ en suite with spa and very private location backing onto gardens of La Trobe University
Artist Retreat - King size bed, bar fridge, tea/coffee making facility, TV/DVD/ en suite with spa and very private location backing onto gardens of La Trobe University
Paris Apartments - two loft rooms with a combination of Queen and King size bedding, en suite, TV/DVD, tea/coffee making facility, bar fridge. These are great for a family as the two rooms are separate but across a landing which gives privacy for parents and children (but still the ability to monitor!)
