Description

..Less than 5-minute walk to the beach, famous Busselton Jetty or town centre and it\'s many cafe\'s - Maisie\'s Cottage is beautifully renovated, immaculate and convenient - the main reasons why guests keep returning!

Fully-equipped with all conveniences including an Espresso Machine, TV, DVD, microwave, BBQ, washing machine, dryer, iron, and quality baby items. The kitchen still retains the original woodstove, which warms the house in Winter, whilst the gentle breezes off Geographe Bay keep the cottage nice and cool in Summer.

Maisie\'s has plenty of good books, magazines, games, plenty of safe and clean Fischer-Price toys and even a lined-up fishing rod to keep the family entertained. The garden has a pleasant outlook to relax and soak up the morning sun on the front verandah, or from the outdoor setting on the back verandah. Walk to the beach in minutes, or maybe take a lazy half-hour drive to Margaret River, passing wineries, restaurants and many wonders of the Southwest of Western Australia along the way.

We named the cottage \"Maisie\" after the name of the original owner of the cottage who lived and raised her family here for over 50 years. It\'s a house that reminds us of our past also and the feeling we get when we walk through the door is always welcoming and cosy.

NOV 06 - We had a great time in Busselton at Maisie\'s Cottage it is in a fantastic location. The owners are brilliant to deal with no problems what so ever. Bond refunded very quickly. Everything you would need was there. Would recommend it with or without kids. Thank you

OCT 06 - Have stayed a Maisie\'s Cottage 3 times with our dog. Its great to have such a nice place to stay where you can bring your pet. Perfect for families with babies and children of all ages.

AUG 06 - We all enjoyed our 3 day stay at Maisie\'s cottage (3 adults /3 children)found the accommodation cosy and comfortable, outdoor bbq area was great and lots of room for kids to play, easy access to town and short walk to beach and in a nice area!

AUG 06 - A wonderful place for my daughter and I to have a \'girls weekend\'. We didn’t put the TV on at all and were delighted with all the little knickknacks in the rooms. I\'ve started recommending it to my friends in Geraldton and no doubt we\'ll be back.

JUN 06 - We loved our stay at Maisie\'s Cottage. It was clean, cosy and was everything we hoped for for our holiday. It had everything we needed which made our holiday even more relaxing. We especially loved sitting out on the back deck in the afternoon sun! It was a perfect place for a family holiday. We will be back next year!

APR 06 - Heidi & Glenn - \"Maisie’s Cottage\" - what a lucky find for us! A beautifully restored cottage with accommodation that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Neat, clean, close to town and the beach. Great base to explore the region from. Will definitely repeat our visit here again later on.

JAN 06 - Thanks Glenn and Heidi for a great place to stay right in the heart of everything we really enjoyed are stay here we will hopefully return 2007

DEC 05 - We absolutely loved our stay at Maisie’s Cottage. The situation is excellent - a short walk to the jetty and beach. Our kids loved the range of toys and books (which were used more than the toys they brought with them) there were in the cottage. My father wished he could take the front veranda with him; he loved reading there in the morning sun (away from the grandchildren!). We will be back

FEB 05 - Heidi and Glenn – Thank you for your perfect family accommodation for our recent visit to Busselton. The amenities and atmosphere of your property were just what we were looking for, and the location to the towns sites was great.

FEB 05 - The house was perfect for us - close to the beach & shops and had everything we needed, and very 14-month-old friendly. We were particularly impressed with the welcoming feeling we got from being able to share toys, books, bqq and other things.

Local Attractions

The picturesque town of Busselton is a thriving tourist town and has something for everyone. Unique with over 30 kilometres of pristine sandy beaches, stretching endlessly which is a great attraction for windsurfers, waterskiers, fishing, snorkelling and diving.

The wreck HMAS Swan sits in the protected waters of Geographe Bay (Dunsborough) making it \"diveable\" almost ten months of the year. The famous Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere, stretches almost 2 kilometres(!!!) out into the beautiful blue water of Geographe Bay, together with its Underwater Observatory which descends 8 metres to the seabed is a definite MUST SEE!

There are excellent Cafe\'s, Restaurants, Art & Craft Galleries, Sporting and Family Entertainment facilities and Historical Attractions - not to mention the weekly Markets on the Beachfront or the Railway Markets - which makes Busselton an excellent base from which to launch your adventures through the Southwest region, to Dunsborough and the Margaret River Wine Region.

There were lots of toys to entertain our daughter and the bunk bed was a huge hit with her. Would definately recommend."

  • "We had the greatest 10th anniversary at Maisie's cottage with our three year old. The easy walking distance to restaurants, beach and supermarket were an added bonus to the quaint and superb layout and convienience of the cottage and its facilities. The beach was a major highlight though I think our little ones personal favourite was the dinosaur bunk bed. "
