Only minutes walk to Norfolk Beach or the Melaleuca Wetlands where you can enjoy the water or a stroll along marked tracks. Feeling energetic then walk the circuit around the island or better yet, hire canoes/kayaks and paddle around the island. Tinnies can also be hired if you want to try your luck at catching the fresh fish.
Coochie, nestled in Moreton Bay, is only an hour from Brisbane city. So if you cannot get away from work, but the family can, it won't take long for you to enjoy it too (public transport is available to the city from the mainland).
Want some retail therapy then leave the car on the island and catch the Redlands buses to the shopping centres, only 10 minutes away.
Don't feel like cooking then enjoy being catered for at the local restaurants or corner store take-aways.
Want to keep the little or big kids entertained then enjoy the two playgrounds, BMX tracks, croquet, tennis, indoor bowls, cricket/football fields or a round of golf.
