Alta Mira sits on a quiet tree-lined street in Katoomba, surrounded by its lovely gardens and neighbouring Federation style houses. A renovation just a few years ago carefully preserved the best of the period features, such as the original canopy bath in the main bathroom, while adding a gorgeous new modern kitchen and another modern bathroom. Alta Mira can sleep up to 14 people (2 x Queen, 1 x Double, 4 x Single, plus a double sofa bed and a double futon in a separate sunroom). There are two bathrooms servicing the house: the original Edwardian bathroom with glass canopy bathtub and pull-chain toilet, plus a modern bath with separate shower and spa bath.
Alta Mira is just a few minutes' walk to Katoomba Street, with its cafes, restaurants and shops, but is tucked away in a quiet corner of Katoomba. Perfect for a mountains getaway, you get the best of both worlds. Go for a stroll to Katoomba Town Centre, take a slightly longer walk to the Three Sisters, or just curl up in Alta Mira's centrally heated and beautifully furnished interior.
Tariffs
The base tariffs for up to 8 guests are as follows:
WEEKEND & SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: Any stay which includes a Friday or Saturday night, minimum stay 2 nights.
2 nights $900; 3 nights $1200; 4 nights $1400
MIDWEEK: Sunday to Thursday only excluding school holidays, 2 nights minimum stay.
2 nights $700; 3 nights $800; 4 nights $900; 5 nights $1000.
WEEKLY: Standard $1,750; School Holidays $2,100; Easter, Xmas $2,300.
LONG WEEKEND: Public holiday weekends, Easter & Xmas excluded. Flat rate up to 3 nights $1,200; 4 nights $1,400.
EASTER & XMAS 2013:
Flat rate up to 3 nights $1,500; 4 nights $1,700
5 nights $1,900; 6 nights $2,100; 7 nights $2,300
ADDITIONAL GUESTS:
Each additional guest $50 per booking.
Maximum capacity 14 guests.

I am just writing to say thank you very much. We had a wonderful weekend at the Alta Mira.
The weather was just beautiful and we did not need too much heating as it turned out but very much appreciate you putting the heating on for us in advance.
We all hope to come back again next year.
One of our group used to own the home around 25 years ago. She talked about how it used to be and some of the alterations made. She has some old photos as well. She intends to write to you soon.

I rented the house with 9 other people and it was a fantastic weekend! There was plenty of space for everyone, including a lovely dining room which comfortably sat the 10 of us for every meal. Both bathrooms were standouts with the spa in one and the old-fashioned stand alone bath in the other. The house was lovely and cosy and perfect for a winter weekend away - the electric blankets were a lovely touch! We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful place! It had everything to make it a lovely stay, like a great coffee maker, an Xbox, wifi, and very comfy mattresses. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We especially loved the layout: no bedrooms come directly off the lounge or dining room, so people could sleep while others chatted. Thank you to the lovely owners!

We just got back from a fantastic stay at Alta Mira Katoomba. There were eight of us in total but the house was more than big enough to accommodate us all. The kids loved their room and we loved the formal area with gas fire at the front of the house. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and coming home to this big cosy house at the end of each day was luxurious to say the least. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Blue Mountains and would recommend this accommodation to everyone. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
