Near the Lamington National Park, but with access to all the Gold Coast has to offer, perched on the Scenic Rim above the Gold Coast, two cottages (the Hut in the old Bavarian Hut Restaurant building, & the quaint Cottage with Rural views) on this iconic property offer the discerning guest different choices:
- each is self-contained for family comfort (3 bedrooms - sleeps up to 6 (possibly more by arrangement)) with a great living areas.
- However, each offers atmosphere that is well suited to a romantic break for two, with rates to match.
At 600m above the coast, we miss the worst of the summer heat & humidity & each has a woodburner in the living area for the cool autumn & winter nights. The woodburners are exceptionally warm & efficient & provide great atmosphere;
- there are great views of the Gold Coast from Labrador to Coolangatta & beyond, plus the rolling peaks of NSW from the Bavarian Hut, & rural, sunset views toward the Scenic Rim from the Bavarian Cottage.
We are in easy striking distance of all that the Gold Coast has to offer:
- Binna Burra, & Lamington National Park with a wide choice of bush walks and bird watching in & around the rain forests, cycling, parasailing, hang gliding, local markets, wineries & pubs, & simply relaxing with the views;
- Mt Tamborine with the shopping strip, arts & crafts, & glitz & glamour and cottage industries;
- Surfers Paradise with the beaches, shopping, shopping & more shopping, casinos, restaurants & nightlife; and
- the Themeparks - family fun for all ages.

You also have access to amazing 'new' vineyards supporting the 'new' wine industry that is starting to astound the traditionalists.
