Each cottage is located to ensure privacy, with elevated private walkways up off the forest floor, bringing nature to your door and spiriting you toward your own secluded hideaway. Light the fire, slip into the double spa, surround yourself with candles and forget the world.
Designed especially for couples who want a romantic getaway, each cottage has its own double spa and wood fire, a private veranda with BBQ, and a fully equipped kitchen. You can enjoy our generous continental breakfast hamper included in the tariff, or upgrade to the bacon and eggs platter with all the trimmings. Stay in and enjoy our sumptuous gourmet BBQ hamper, bring your own supplies or try out the many Montville restaurants or cafes for lunch or dinner.
Indulge yourself in the privacy of your cottage with a massage or facial from professional masseurs. This is a place to truly relax and rejuvenate.
Wake up to the sound of birds or feed the possums on your veranda. Follow the trail down the hill to our own private waterfall or go out and explore the many walking trails around the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Hunchy Hideaway is ideal for a weekend or midweek getaway and perfect for honeymoons. Honeymoon packages can be tailor made for you to include massages, dining vouchers, BBQ and cheese platters with complimentary champagne.
An alternative experience is Panorama Cottage in Maleny with sweeping views over the Mary Valley towards Kenilworth. Panorama has an outside jacuzzi instead of an indoor spa bath but otherwise has all the same luxurious appointments and treats that you will find here at Hunchy.
Rainforest Villas
Perched on the rim of the rainforest - these villas bring nature right to your door step. Make friends with the local possums and enjoy lazy afternoons on your secluded verandah overlooking the valley below. Wake up to the sound of hundreds of birds! Fully self contained, double spa, fireplace, private veranda with BBQ, fluffy bath robes, complimentary breakfast for 2, roses and chocolates.
Fig Tree, Gum-nut & Panorama
For a slightly higher price you can enjoy one of our three unique cottages, each with their own charm and slightly different features.
Fig Tree has a true open fire with a stone chimney, a bit more room to spread out and a sunken spa bath and shower area. It also has its own pond with fish and a turtle.
Gum-nut is our newest cottage with a double shower, a large spa and big deck with a view through the forest to the hills beyond. Gum-nut also has a King sized bed.
Panorama is a totally private, modern cottage obout 4km from Maleny, overlooking the Mary Valley towards Kenilworth. It has an outside hot tub/jacuzzi rather than an inside spa bath. Imagine watching the sunset while sipping champagne in the jacuzzi!
