Circa 1850's this famous Gothic Revival manor can be your own private retreat for a weekend, week or longer. Steeped in history, "Kalaurgan House" offers unique and stylish self catering accommodation for that weekend break with family. friends even your beloved pets.
Our concierge service can arrange all your catering from welcome packs to dinner parties, functions,cooking classes, babysitters, picnic baskets, wine tours, transport,personal trainer, masseurs, yoga, beauticians,cocktail parties,weddings,christenings,pet care and special events. We can also offer 5 star accommodation for your horse just 5 minutes away which includes owner accommodation, diamond mesh paddocks,stables, hot&cold washbay, roundyard and much more.

Your pets also have their own cosy studio at Kalaurgan House with sofabed, toys, heater, dog treats, coats, beds plus a big secure backyard for that morning romp.

Kalaurgan House was the former home to Saint Mary MacKillop in the early 1880's. This beautifully restored and decorated property is set on 1 acre of gorgeous old grounds with stunning courtyard. It is ideally located to enjoy the convenience of the nearby vineyards,golf courses, shops, restaurants and all the many attractions that the beautiful Southern Highlands has to offer.

"We hired the house for our old girls reunion - with 10 of us staying at Kalaurgan. It was the happiest of weekends - with everyone loving the house! Plenty of very comfortable living space that spilled out onto the sun drenched courtyard. We arrived to soft music playing, daffodils in a vase, blossoms in another vase, chocolate biscuits on the table and decanters of sherry in the bedrooms for a night cap! Bliss! Definately recommended from 35 happy souls!"

"The weather was cold, wet and miserable but Kalaurgan House provided us with more warmth and enjoyment than we could of ever hoped for. The crackling fire, the warm soft lighting, the deep warm beds, fantastic. We were 3 generations enjoying all the house had to offer. Plenty of room to find that private nook to browse one of the many interesting books provided. We will definitely return when the winter sets in again!"

"Absolutely fantastic. This house is 5 stars all the way- spacious, beautifully furnished, lovely breakfast hamper- nothing was out of place. Comfortably sleeps 8, 2 bathrooms, wonderful outdoor enteretaining area, library sitting room etc - the lot it was all perfect. You really get alot of luxury for a very good price- definately hope to stay again soon!"

Our warmest thanks to the manager of this beautifully presented property for her attention to every possible detail. The house was 'warmed up' for our arrival, and fruit, chocolates, wine and provisions for a luscious breakfast were all waiting for us. We could want for nothing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were able to get plenty of work done undisturbed in this cosy retreat."

"If your standard of living is of a very high standard, plush furnishings, beautiful surroundings, quality linens and towels, open fire place, underfloor heating, all the mod cons then this house will be a home away from home. If this is not your usual living standard then you are in for a real treat. This house was amazing. The owners attention to detail in the house was just perfection. Little treats left for us to find around the house, such as chocolate truffles, wine, fresh flowers,decanters of port in many rooms. Just beautiful. Don't miss out on this little treasure. It is a sure winner. We were 4 couples and had a beautiful stay. We will be back for sure."
