  • "Our family had a fantastic, relaxing time at Mystaya cottage & boatshed last weekend & we'll definately be back! Spencer is a lovely hamlet - the perfect place to recharge your batteries. Our highlights were: 1) bbqs with views of the river, the surrounding bushland and visits from the local kookaburras (we had a choice of 3 BBQs) 2) discovering the river on the American canoe 3) snooker & pool over a cold beer 4) catching flathead off the jetty! 5) sitting outside under a sky full of stars as the day draws to a close 6) kicking back in front of the big screen and home theatre in the boatshed 7) some rather intense games of Jenga : ) 8) the lovely cottage which has everything catered for 9) Tracy's warm, friendly help at every stage - thank you for sharing Mystaya with our family We look forward to sitting in front of the log fire in the boatshed when winter comes around."

  • "Hi Tracey, We had an enjoyable time at your house with plenty of things to do even when it was raining. The boat shed was great and everyone loved being there. We dined in the boat shed each night followed by a movie on the big screen. The jetty was good for fishing, however the kids didn't catch a lot. The issues we had was there is an ant problem in the kitchen at the house and we only had enough toilet paper for a few days. We did take some of our own so we managed to get by. Some of the deck lights are not working on the jetty, just thought I would mention that in case you didn't know. Overall, we had a great week and we did clean up before we left and put the rubbish out. I hope that your cleaners had an easy job after we departed. Everyone was more than happy with the property and we hope to stay there again in the future. regards, Mitchell. p.s. Loved the goat next door! "

  • "We loved our stay at Mystaya. The Boatshed was brilliant - right on the water, rustic and loaded with character. We loved the roaring fireplace, the big screen for watching movies and lazing about on the veranda watching the tide go in and out. As a small family with a young baby, moving between the cottage and the Boatshed wasn't ideal (for a group it would probably be a bonus), but we booked this place knowing what the set up was, so we just spent almost all our time at the Boatshed, made all our meals there and wandered up to the comfort of the cottage at bedtime. All in all, a great little escape from the city."

  • "As nice as the main house is, and it is lovely, the real highlight of this property is the boat shed. Nothing like being able to sit on the jetty and fish into the evening, then finish up with dinner in the boat shed right by the water and few drinks around a log fire. Highly recommended."

  • "I thought the place was great! perfect for groups. The boatshed is very spacious and it has a wonderful fireplace!(we spent most of our time there). The house was nice too. They have everything there, heaps of pots and pans, cups etc. the owner is very pleasant too I would definitely recommend friends to go."

  • "My family and I spent a fabulous birthday weekend at the cottage. The kids had a blast, we caught mud crabs and fish galore and even tried the canoe!! The cottage and boatshed are well equipped and have a beautiful views across the river. The boatshed is a must as we spent most of our time in there or on the jetty fishing. A great place to unwind! We would love to return soon."
