Description
Robinson's shack is a great getaway for:
*Families with children (safe, gentle water & fluffy, white sand)
*Swimmers and snorkelers (warm, clear water with much sea-life)
*Sunbathers (5 steps to get drop back inside and reapply the sunscreen, or pick-up a new book and refreshments)
*Kite surfers and windsurfers (Sultana passage held the world speed record for windsurfing in the 1970’s)
*Scuba Divers (Troubridge reef is home of the famous Leafy Sea Dragon, many other marine creatures and also the site of numerous wrecks)
*Fishers (a well-renowned spot for great catches, with boat launching nearby and pier at Edithburgh)
*Beachcombers (miles of sandy beach, sparkling seas and marine wildlife)
*Relaxers or Romantics (sparkling sea, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, twinkling town lights and the beam of Troubridge lighthouse across the water)
The narrow spit of Sultana point runs east-west and Robinson’s is situated on the sheltered northern side, quite near the point. Perchance the wind swings to a direction which doesn’t suit today? - Just stroll around the point and you have yourself an alternative beach, also extremely beautiful, with reverse conditions!
For a limited time only.... the original Robinson's shack
We have recently acquired this humble 1960's beach shack. It is fantastic - right on the sand dunes and literally, a stone's throw to the water's edge. Although not new, it is very clean and comfy, with an open plan living area with kitchen (refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave), 3 bedrooms (2 x Queen bed, 1 x triple singles) and separate toilet & shower.
While we know you will love it just the way it is (and we do too), ultimately we are planning on giving it a full makeover. But this will take some planning and time (and money) and so, for the time being (a limited time), we are making Robinson's shack available for rent, in its original form, at an original price!
What's around at Edithburgh
The historic port town of Edithburgh, with its stone buildings, Pubs, restaurants, shops, popular museum and pier is an easy walk from Robinson’s Shack. There is also a fantastic playground and a walking/cycling trail that goes all the way from Edithburgh to Coobowie. At Edithburgh you can eat out at the Pubs or cafes or collect take-away food. You can also shop to replenish your supplies, get new surf or fishing gear and souvenirs.
A beachside holiday doesn’t get better than this.
