  • "Myself and 4 other Mum's escaped for the weekend to another world (just 30mins from home). We arrived just after 3 on Friday afternoon and begrudgingly left after 6pm Sunday night to go home (the late Sunday check out is amazing!). We chatted with Farmer Kevin and delighted in the fresh vegies which we added to each meal cooked in the authentic Kooka stove. I experienced the sunrise and captured it on film to share with the girls who preferred the peaceful and uninterrupted sleep-in and both options were just breathtaking and delightful. The little details are what make Mullengrove special, the comfy beds, the deep bath, the great shower, the easy to use kitchen, the lazy walks through the grounds and gardens, the views and most of all the absolute Serenity. It definitely helped that none of our combined 18 kids were with us - but kids are more than welcome of course. We were already planning our next retreat before we had to leave. The best bit was that the pictures we had fallen in love with here on the internet were exactly as it was."

  • "This is such an amazing place to getaway for the weekend. Such a beautiful location!!! The house is so special and the sunrise is to die for. We loved it so much when we found it on Stayz that we booked to do a fashion shoot there for our september issue. We would recomend it to anyone!! Charlotte Stokes Cosmopolitan Magazine"

  • "This was our second visit and definitely not the last one. The cottage has a lot of character, you really feel at home as soon as you walk in and you don't want to leave. The view is wonderful and you are close to so many beautiful places to visit. We had friends visiting one day and even their teenage daughter and her friend raved about it and said they would like to stay! I didn't think an old cottage would attract that age group but I was proven wrong. Best part was the scones baked by my 11 year old daughter in the Kooka stove and enjoyed with a cuppa on the verandah looking at the view! This is a very special place like no other."

  • ""Rustic" is never a word that I associate with my dream weekend. But this place is a true gem. We had surfing lessons at Gerroa, kayaked at Kangaroo Valley, visited Arthur Boyd's gift to the nation, Bundanon, and returned home every evening to a hot bath and organics cooked in a Kooka in front of an open fire. Up until now we have made it a policy of never visiting the same place twice - this place had made us change our mind."

  • "My friends and I had a great time. The setting and home were amazingly beautiful. We also had the pleasure of meeting the locals (a very healthy looking wombat - he obviously enjoyed the veggies as much as we did!). I really would recommend the farm to any one who asks. Special thanks to the friendly, patient, and helpful owners too :)"

  • "We were gobsmacked by the authentic slab hut, kooka stove, kelvinator fridge and iron beds. Perfectly private and quiet with vast views over the Shoalhaven valley to Jervis Bay in the distance. The basket of organic veges fuelled all our dinners on the verandah. Bare feet on the board floors told how clean the place is. It's a unique place that we will visit again."

  • "Very nice and very rustic - great to get away from it all"
    Stuart, October 2008

  • "What a lovely rustic niche in the accommodation market. The free basket of seasonal vegetables from the organic farm, plus free option of staying Sunday night, is a nice edge on the norm. Saw echidna, wallaby & wombat. Used all the vegetables. Peeled, grated raw beetroot marinated in balsamic vinegar was a hit. Sue & David Donnelley"

  • "Beautiful experience. Everything was lovely but just be prepared for no washing machine if you plan to have a lengthy stay."

  • "A gorgeous retreat in the most delightful cottage. The kitchen is absolutely unique, and the fresh veggies from the farm are a bonus. Our children loved the outdoor space with a spectacular view. Highly recommended! Kathy Tripp & Robin Debenham"
