Description

As seen on Channel 7's "The Great Outdoors". The Drawing Rooms is named after a spectacular rock formation on the hill-top that looks over this magnificent property. Surrounded by forest and velvet-green pastures that topple into the valleys below, Drawing Rooms of Berry combines style, absolute tranquillity, wildlife galore, and a truly spectacular setting. Stay in the guesthouse, or perhaps you would prefer a completely self-contained private lodge. Choose the Drawing Rooms as your base from which to explore Berry's markets, shops and cafes or perhaps one of the seven local wineries, golf courses, adventure activities or bush walks - including our favourite Drawing Room Rocks walk.

The Guesthouse

Completely purpose-built, and separate to the owner' residence, the guesthouse has three smart bedrooms - the Spa Room which has a double spa bath in its ensuite, and 2 Attic Rooms (each with their own ensuite and balcony). The rooms are furnished in a crisp, contemporary style, with king beds and classic white linen set against polished timber floors. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have their own TV and DVD players. Guests are welcome to choose from an extensive library of more than 100 DVDs. Staying in the guesthouse you'll have a chance to enjoy the amazing buffet and cooked breakfast on weekends, or the lavish continental breakfast mid-week. In winter the guesthouse becomes a cosy place to hide away in front of the fire - a C.D quietly playing in the background while you enjoy a book from the library. In summer, enjoy a wine on your private balcony at sunset, taking in a view of colours that change with every sip.

  • "The property is conveniently located 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. Rooms are clean with a nice view. Breakfast is good and management is helpful."

  • "I came across the drawing rooms through a random search on the internet, and although the minimum stay over the weekend is one night, they were flexible to give us a lodge for 1 night. On arriving there I was really really impressed. It's a family run business and they were extremely welcoming when we arrived. The lodge was gorgeous and a far better quality than I was expecting. We had a room with a mezaninne bedroom and massive church style windows opposite the balcony which meant we could lie in bed and watch the amazing view of the hills around. There were full breakfast facilities and all mod conns and as a city boy, I was pleased to see a large plasma digital TV. My only issue was the huntsman that nearly gave me a heart attack on the front porch later in the evening! :) Great place though, I would recommend it to anyone who just wants to get away and get some peace and quiet in stunning surroundings and i'll certainly be going back.."
