Our Bali-inspired house and bungalow, located above the main street on a quiet, private cul-de-sac, have wonderful views of the ocean. Craftsman-built, you can easily believe you are in Asia, except for the cockatoos, kookaburras and parrots! We rent out the bungalow which is in a sunny spot nestled against the native forest with birdlife and kangaroos as frequent visitors. It is completely seperated from the main house for privacy. With only 500 metres to the shopping centre and a little further to the beach, both are well within walking distance. Ideally suited for two people with plenty of living space. The bathroom contains shower, toilet, hand basin and laundry facilities.
A fully-equipped kitchen and outside BBQ allows self- sufficiency when you tire of the many restaurant opportunities down the street.
A few hundred yards walk up the track to the 'bush' and you are completely alone with the sounds of silence!

Views of the bungalow

The bed is fashioned in typical Balinese style with a platform raising it above the floor. The imported Indonesian furniture, bamboo thatched ceiling and detailed rafters add to the ambiance of the room.
The wide eaves and rendered stone walls make for cool summer living conditions and retain the heat in the winter. Ceiling fan keeps the temperature even throughout the year.

There is a wonderful array of day outings into the Otways and along the coast, heaps of restaurants and world-renowned scenic experiences. Situated centrally on the Great Ocean Road, Lorne provides the perfect starting point for a leisurely day trip to see these wonders. Details of these excursions are provided, or the Lorne Visitor Information Centre is just down the bottom of the street.
