Billy's cottage is more than 100 years old but is so loved that it has only had a handful of owners. Nestled in it's bush setting, we hope you fall in love with this charming character filled cottage as much as we have.
The cottage has 2 large bedrooms, both with comfortable queen size beds fitted with quilted electric blankets for those colder nights. The main bedroom has a light filled sunroom off the side with a sofa that folds out into a bed allowing for up to six people per stay. Linen is supplied for the 2 queen size beds. The house is perfect for families, 2 couples or a small group of friends. Your small, house-trained dog is also welcome.
The living area features expansive views over the gardens and surrounding bushland. There is an abundance of DVDs, 100's of CD's, Pay TV, lots of books and board games so curl up to the cosy fire with a glass of wine and enjoy each other's company. The large balcony also has views out to the bushland and an outdoor heater so you can enjoy breakfast in the great outdoors, even in winter.
The gardens are magical all year round. Spring and Autumn are especially beautiful with the array of colours. Your kids will love exploring the various sheds littered with items from yesteryear. The bushland out the back provides a lovely contrast. Climb into the hammock and listen to the sounds of the Aussie bush while reading your book.
The kitchen is fully equipped (no oven) and includes a vintage Aga in working order. Why not set the bread maker before going to bed at night and wake to the smell of fresh bread in the morning? The balcony also has a large hooded BBQ for a fry up or roasting that lamb.
You will be amazed by the abundance of birds that make their home in the native bushland out the back. The Kookaburras are daily visitors and seem to have taken a special liking to this part of the bushland. Keep your eyes out for the wallabies that visit at the creek that runs by the bottom of the property. The beautiful Minni Ha Ha waterfall bushwalk starts at the bottom of the street. In the warmer months you can cool down underneath the waterfall.
The Blue Mountains National Park is at your doorstep. The Three Sisters, Scenic Railway and cosmopolitan delights of Leura and Katoomba towns are only 10 minutes away.
We hope you enjoy your stay!
***Please note that mobile coverage at the cottage cannot be guaranteed: Telstra has reception, but Optus and Vodafone are patchy at best***also note that towels are not provided, only bed linen***

What a truely amazing little cottage. Billys cottage has everything that you need for a relaxing holiday. I took my miniature poodle Sophie and she loved running around the property exploring everything. The cottage is nice and close to all the main attractions of the Blue Mountains but if you just want to relax in peace and quiet it is also lovely to relax in the yard reading a good book. I highly recommend this lovely little bush property for a relaxing holiday. I would love to go back again, Lorna

We stayed at Billy's Cottage as part of a driving holiday in Australia. This is a wonderful cottage in the hills in a residential neighborhood, but although there are other homes around, you don't notice them. What you notice is a nicely decorated and comfortable house surrounded by well taken care of grounds. The house itself has two comfortable bedrooms, a welcoming living room, and a kitchen well stocked with plates, appliances, and utensils. There is a BBQ and laundry facilities as well. The outdoor deck overlooks a well cared for yard. We enjoyed watching dozens of rosellas and king parrots eating from the apple tree next to the deck and the kookaburras and cockatoos watching from higher up. We came from the US for this holiday, and this cottage was a wonderful way to spend a couple of quiet nights after days of driving through rural NSW and before heading into Sydney. Payment was made easy to the owner, he provided the details and we paid online via Western Union, the website did the currency conversion for us. I would highly recommend Billy's Cottage to anyone passing through Katoomba.

Yet another great stay at Billy's Cottage. This was the second year we have stayed at this cottage and this time we brought friends back with us. The cottage was very accommodating for the four of us, plus our two dogs. The dogs loved running around the massive lot, exploring and chasing their ball, and on our last day we hiked down to the Mini Haha Falls for a swim and some sun. Great , relaxing stay.

From making fires to baking bread and playing in the garden with our dog, we had the most relaxing weekend at Billy's Cottage. It's very well equipped with everything you might need for a cosy weekend hideaway in the mountains. And if you can tear yourselves away from doing nothing (!) then I would recommend the Minnehaha Falls walk at the end of the road.

We came home totally relaxed from our wonderful stay in Billy's cottage. We fell in love the minute we arrived. There's something really magical about the place. We ended up not doing nearly as much exploring as planned - we spent a lot of time enjoying the cottage instead.
Billy's cottage has everything you need and more. It' s really well appointed and very comfortable. The yard is large and secure and our dogs had so much fun sniffing around in it. The location is peaceful and picturesque, and the walk to Minni Ha Ha Falls is beautiful. We can't wait to come back. Thankyou for our wonderful break! It really was like heaven.

Had a great week at the cottage with our dogs. The cottage is very comfortable with some lovely old features as well as necessary mod cons. Exploring the garden was a wonderful way to spend some quiet time. The cottage is well located in a very quiet neighbourhood with great views of the bushland just at the back of the property.

My partner, our two dogs and I stayed at Billy's from 2 - 6 Jan 2012 and loved it! We felt at home straight away as the cottage is beautifully appointed. The property is massive and completely fenced off so our dogs had a great time running around and exploring (as did we). The location was central for sightseeing and the trek to Mini Ha Ha Falls was stunning. The four of us even went for a swim! Highly recommended.

From the minute I laid eyes on Billy's cottage I was smitten and upon entering the cottage we were not disappointed! Truly beautiful old cottage, with style, character as well as all the modern conveniences you could want. Everything we could wish for (and more) were found inside this little slice of Blue Mountains heaven. Not only was this this a haven for us adults but the kids had a ball counting kookaburras (8 at one point) and exploring the massive and magical yard. Great holiday, we will be back!

Thank you so much for having my family at your beautiful cottage for the easter break. From the huge backyard (that our dog loved to explore) to the HUGE range of books and CDS, our stay over the four nights was amazing. The fire certainly made the cottage very cosy while outside it was freezing! The minihaha falls walk down the end of the street was so great. Could not speak more highly of this cottage! Many thanks!

We thought the cottage was wonderful! It had so many supplies (DVD's, CD's, books, kitchen utensils, BREADMAKER (brought a couple of packets), linen, etc. The garden & the birds were beautiful and the deck was fantastic, especially in the rain! We also loved the layout & decor of the house - it was all very nice. Hope to return again soon!

We had a fantastic time!! The house was really lovely and cosy, just as we had imagined. It is a great spot to relax and enjoy good company. Really appreciated all of the conveniences such as the heater outside and the BBQ, which we used, as well as the CD collection and the board games etc. The electric blankets were fantastic and once we got the fire going the whole place took no time to heat up. The walk down to the water fall was fantastic too and very close. We would love to come back and stay maybe in the warmer months.

Just wanted to say how lovely the cottage was so many nice touches, we couldnt have wanted for more. I cant wait to visit again - see the spring flowers and fruits, the emerging herb spiral and veg patch and what I suspect may be a chook run? The kids loved the swing, the climbing trees, numerous cubbies, the creek and all your CDs! The walk to the Mini Ha Ha Falls on your doorstep is a bonus. Im torn between telling everyone I know about it and keeping it a secret...

Your house is absolutely beautiful. My partner David spent the first hour literally clutching his heart (he even teared up at one point) proclaiming his love for your house. I believe he wants to know if you're willing to sell it! I truly believe two days at your house put five years back on his life - he kept saying how perfect the house was, and how reviving it was. He even drew the floor plan in his diary so we could look for something like it when we go house hunting! I totally agree, and I don't think you need to change/add anything. And we loved the Falls! How awesome to have them practically in your backyard.
So thank you very much for having us - we will definitely be back.
