This comfortable, homely apartment is suitable for an executive traveller or a couple on holidays. It could accommodate a small family. In an attractive, 1920s art deco building, it is close to public transport, numerous attractions and the Brisbane River. It is a short ride on the river cat to the Brisbane CBD. If you want to catch the bus to Brisbane City, there are stops close to the apartment. You can also take a relaxing jog or walk into central Brisbane, only about 1.5 kms distance on foot. Nearby you will find the intimate Merthyr Road shops with excellent shopping and dining facilities. The Judith Wright Centre is a short walk away along with a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and outdoor facilities along Brunswick Street. The latter includes the well-known New Farm Park with its excellent Powerhouse Museum and a great park for kids. There are great facilities on the Brisbane River for water activities, including rowing, and you can find plenty of places to jog or ride a bike. Please note: the shower is over the bath -- this can be a problem for some guests, for example those who are recovering from surgery.
