Avonlee is a comfortable fully self contained two bedroom brick and tile home with ocean views.
Don't bother packing the kids and esky in the car, just grab the kids, put the esky, rods, beer etc in the wheelbarrow and walk over to the beach, it is just a 30 second walk. The bay fishes well for whiting, herring, flounder and various other species. A bicycle path follows the beach all the way to town and beyond.
Avonlee is an easy 3 minute drive from the town centre, the famous Busselton Jetty and the Underwater Observatory. It is equally close to the Port Geographe Marina where you will find top class boat launching facilities.
We also have a family of resident possums -usually in the tree above the outdoor setting in the backyard. If the kids go out at night with a torch they may be able to spot them feeding in the peppermint tree.
The picturesque town of Busselton is a top tourist town and has something for everyone. Over 30 km of white sandy beaches, stretching endlessly in both directions which is great for windsurfers, water skiers, fishing, snorkelling and diving. The dive wreck HMAS Swan sits in the protected waters of Geographe Bay(Dunsborough) making it 'diveable' almost 10 months of the year. The famous Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere, stretches almost 2km out over the beautiful blue water of Geographe Bay, with its Underwater Observatory which descends 8m to the seabed is a definite must see. There are excellent Cafes, Restaurants, Art & Craft Galleries, Sporting/Family Entertainment facilities and Historical Attractions. Busselton makes an excellent base from which to explore the South West Region with Dunsborough, Margaret River Wine Region and Augusta close by.
