Enjoy our home, as we would…… or as you would like to. We’ve left our home exactly as we like to enjoy it, with our furniture, art, books and all the things that we use to cook, relax and entertain. We love Pearl Beach and love the peace tranquility and atmosphere of our place. A stylishly renovated open plan provides loads of light and fresh air, offering complete comfort and flexibility for a range of guest scenarios.

Accommodation

The Main house features a master bedroom that offers beautiful leafy views, ideal for a serious sleep in, breakfast in bed or the morning papers in the adjoining Sunroom. The sleep-out is equipped with a double size bed, suitable for a couple or child/children, as we use it.

Separated from the house (Half a Metre) is a quaint self-contained guest cabin, perfect for another couple or teenage children, with complete privacy and bathroom facilities. We often retire there for a cosy night in with a good book or video. The lounge and dining areas are ample, serviced by a modern kitchen with loads of bench space for the gourmet inspired.

Living

You’ll enjoy tranquil views from all angles, highlighted by the National Park nestled at the back door and sloping up toward the rocky enclaves of the ranges that protect Pearl Beach. An idyllic backdrop for the private courtyard which offers further relaxation and entertainment options.

You may however, have to share the spoils with some regular vistors who often claim a rite of passage.

The BUSH TURKEY is a Pearl Beach icon, and plentiful as they meander through the courtyard and surrounds, focussed on their chores.

A frequent treat is a visit from the LYRE BIRDS, who are always happy to share their spectacular mating rituals with interested onlookers, complete with some impressive dance moves and an intriguing array of calls and vocal imitations.

It is a rare night when you are not blessed with a visit from the POSSUM, who will perch himself on the fence, awaiting alms from the generous. A couple of them are a little bolder and may well seek offerings at the door.
Add to that the lorikeets and rosellas who will adorn the courtyard in numbers, the kookaburras, king parrots and the timid bandicoots will work through the night.

HOW WILL YOU USE IT?

A family, couple or a group of friends will enjoy the village feel of Pearl Beach, with it’s leafy surrounds and unsealed roads, providing a comfortable atmosphere to relax as you please.

The appeal for us of a weekend at Pearl Beach never diminishes. Tempting us with;

- A walk to the waterfall
- Basking in the sun on the southern rocks (a photographers dream)
- A stroll along the fire trail to Patonga, serving a view toward the Hawkesbury that is unmatched on the coast. The reward for effort is a cold beer with the local fisherman at the Patonga Beach Hotel.
- A lazy canoe ride to Lion Island works off a sleep or heavy night.
- The arboretum is a tranquil escape if serenity is on the menu.
- A walk along the streets will inspire the architecturally prone, as the classic beach fibros nestle proudly with their renovated cousins.
- The beach is the true jewel in the crown providing a sensually numbing path between headlands with mesmorising views out to sea.

Despite the lure of each of these local treats, we are always comforted to return to our home, hang up the towels and enjoy the weekend as if we were on holidays.

We love to cook and entertain,and delight in sourcing our produce from the local surrounds. Not always content with the options at home, we often take our gourmet delights to new backdrops where we are often alone and always inspired by the beauty of the area.
