Description

Misty Glen sits on the high side of the street in leafy Popes Glen (just like being in a treehouse remarked one of our guests) and offers you an escape from a busy lifestyle. Private and close to bushwalks (Popes Glen walk starts directly opposite), restaurants, antique shops, art galleries, golf courses, swimming pools and only two hours drive from Sydney.

Tastefully decorated bedrooms with queen-size beds, electric blankets and feather quilts. The living room boasts an HD TV and DVD player, stereo with iPod dock, a gas log fire for winter and reverse cycle air conditioner for summer or winter. You can relax with a book from our small library, watch a movie from our DVD library, listen to one of our CDs, or you can bring your own. In the bathroom there is a relaxing spa bath big enough for two while out on the deck you can look out over the glen as you dine on the meal you cooked on the gas BBQ. The cottage is completely self contained with a well equipped kitchen.

A continental breakfast is supplied for the first morning.

While normal check-out time is 11:00am, a late check-out up to 4:00pm may be available for weekend bookings at no extra cost if there is nobody coming in on your departure date but this can only be confirmed by management 24 hours prior to check-in. Check-in time is usually from 2:00pm.

  • "A cosy cottage in a beautiful peaceful setting. The little touches such as the welcome breakfast pack made us feel at home. It was great place just to get away and relax. There was plenty to do with a walking track right at the front door and nice cafes just up the road in Blackheath. We will definitely be back. "

  • "Enjoyed our stay here very much. Great having a walking track right across the road. Appreciated the basket of food. Place very clean and comfy. Loved the gas fire. Didn't think we would need it in the middle of January but it was cool and it was perfect just to have on just for a few minutes to warm the place up. Wish we could have stayed longer. "
    Kim, January 2012

  • "Misty Glen is a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting with views through the trees over the glen. It is extremely well equiped and very well furnished. The welcome breakfast pack was very much appreciated. We had a very enjoyable few days exploring the local area and would love to come back some time."
    Heather, January 2012

  • "A great place to stay in the Blue Mountains! Within walking distance to Blackheath train station and Blackheath's main business street, where there's an IGA to buy foodstuffs to cook in the fully-stocked kitchen or restaurants to eat in. Trails start literally across the street to Govett's Leap and other sights. We couldn't have been happier with our stay, and the host very thoughtfully has put everything you'd need and more in the cabin. "

  • "We had a wonderfully relaxing getaway at Misty Glen from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage was delightful and comfortable and the personal touches around the house were thoughtful. The provisions left for us were plentiful and practical with some surprise goodies thrown in. We enjoyed the vast music and movie selection, we played games, and slept very comfortably. We also went on a bushwalk - there was a trail head right in front of the cottage. And fear not, if you happen to fall in the mud, there is a washing machine at home to take care of dirty clothes. We highly recommend Misty Glen and can't wait to go back there ourselves. "

  • "Beautiful surroundings, lovely house which we enjoyed immensely, and thoughtful additions such as a welcome basket. The driveway was a little bit daunting but it was well worth the effort. Absolutely great value, would recommend to everyone. Thanks, Misty Glen Team."

  • "I loved my stay at Misty Glen. The house was neat, and it had everything I needed to enjoy a week away, including kitchen appliances, entertainment, linen and air con - a must for summer!! It was in a great location, very quiet and relaxing, but a short walk to the main street, train and a coffee. I would visit again in a heartbeat."
    Nicole, November 2011
