What a fantastic little cottage! We arrived on a cold, misty afternoon to find the gas fire burning and the cottage nice and warm. The chocolate biscuits and fresh bread ans milk were an added bonus. The beds were comfortable and the towels thick and warm. Our overseas guests were very impressed both with the cottage and the Blue Mountains in general.
We will be back.

Misty Glen is in a prime position to visit the delights that the Blue Mountains has to offer.
It's seclusion and quiet setting gives this holiday letting its best feature as one can just relax ,read a book and do nothing but sit and listen to the abundant wildlife that surrounds the area, or better still a short ride away you can be among among the spectacular scenery that bestow the area.

Wow, what a great weekend away! Perfect little get away for a perfect anniversery.
Misty Glen has everything you need, and extra!!
The little attention to detail was amazing - except: the cleaner forgot to take a note on the bathroom door, stuck by a bandaid from the previous stayers off - this is the most we could find to complain about!
Definitely worth considering if you are going to stay in the mountains.
What a great time we had - and we will be back again!

The 2 of us spent 4 nights here. We loved everything from the wonderful heater that kept us warm when it was 0C outside ( there's a weather station ) to the fantastic range of DVDs. Misty Glen is at the top when it comes to our experience of self contained accommodation which covers 4 states. There was even a radio which is a rarity!
Blackheath is also a great choice. We caught the train from Sydney; no need for a car!

We can't thank the Misty Glen team enough. From the moment we walked in we felt warm, welcome and comfortable. With all the little touches such as lamps lit, chocolates on our pillows and a breakfast hamper with juice, milk, Tim tams, snacks, jams, honey and lovely bread! The kitchen was stocked with the cooking staples and condiments for us to cook a lovely country roast (we picked up yummy pork and veggies locally). Best of all we could bring our four legged friend. Thank you so much! We will be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay, the fire at night was great and kept us warm, the dog certainly enjoyed sleeping on his (provided by the house) blanket in front of it. The house is well equipped with everything one could need during an extended stay or the weekend, be it for cooking, the pet or washing of clothes.
It has a warm, country style feel to it and is functional and clean.
We can certainly recommend it and look forward to coming back in the not too distant future.

A great place to stay in the Blue Mountains! Within walking distance to Blackheath train station and Blackheath's main business street, where there's an IGA to buy foodstuffs to cook in the fully-stocked kitchen or restaurants to eat in. Trails start literally across the street to Govett's Leap and other sights. We couldn't have been happier with our stay, and the host very thoughtfully has put everything you'd need and more in the cabin.

We had a wonderfully relaxing getaway at Misty Glen from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage was delightful and comfortable and the personal touches around the house were thoughtful. The provisions left for us were plentiful and practical with some surprise goodies thrown in. We enjoyed the vast music and movie selection, we played games, and slept very comfortably. We also went on a bushwalk - there was a trail head right in front of the cottage. And fear not, if you happen to fall in the mud, there is a washing machine at home to take care of dirty clothes. We highly recommend Misty Glen and can't wait to go back there ourselves.

It was our first time staying at Misty Glen. The place was comfy and warm. The wood finish as well as the gas heater gives it that home/cottage feel. It's a real good place to relax. It wasn't too big nor was it too small, it was just right. The stereo system didn't work for us and the dvd's provided didn't play but that didn't matter, it just made the place more relaxing and more of a holiday disconnected from what you would usually have at home.
Our great dane enjoyed her stay very much as well, being such a comfy sized house she was able to stay close to us whether we were washing, eating or cooking.
A little warning though, the driveway is quite steep and can scratch the bottom car. When wet it can be quite slippery when reversing out. I don't recommend reversing in though.
Overall the house was a nice and relaxing place to stay in, whether you're single, couple or family. It's a place you won't forget and would come and stay up there again for future holidays

Our stay at Misty Glen was magnificent. The pictures on the website are exactly what you see when you get there (always a concern for me when booking on a website!).
From the first G'day email I received, Helen ensured all the pre-booking details were hassle-free. Dealing with them showed over and over again that they do this because they enjoy it, they want to make sure your time away from your home is just as comfortable, if not better than home!
The team at Misty Glen have made sure all the little details culminate in to a memorable stay: the welcoming fire, the tim tams and other kitchen supplies, a well stocked kitchen (cutlery, cooking implements etc), a really comfy bed, and even a late check out.
Our stay was pure bliss and I could not recommend Misty Glen highly enough.

My friend and I had a great stay at Misty Glen. The location is beautiful even if not quite as close to Blackheath town as advertised! Really appreciated the supplies (particularly the Tim Tams). The cottage is beautiful and very well-equipped. The Pictionary set was also a highlight! One small thing, beware coming on foot from the train station after dark! A very tricky journey, particularly with Google Maps' limited street markings and Blackheath's limited street signage! Overall, a great weekend of spa-bathing, Pictionary, DVDs and antique shopping!

What a great cottage - lots of character and a welcome fire greeted us on our first night. Our family had a lovely relaxing time and appreciated the little extras.
Thanks Misty Glen Team.

This is one of the best places we've ever stayed in. The house is so cozy and comfortable. Even though our stay was in the winter, the big gas heater easily kept the place warm. The generous supply of food provisions were a nice touch. We went for some pleasant long walks around Blackheath which were greatly enjoyed by our little cavalier king charles spaniel, Henry. We definitely intend to return!

Excellent amenity, nice attention to detail and surprise treats. Beautifully quiet and an extra advantage can take the dog. Mastered the driveway on last day. Would be useful to have a railing on the bottom steps for us oldies.

Thankyou , we had a really lovely stay. The cottage was gorgeous, the little extras were very much appreciated and the spa bath was wonderfully relaxing. Surrounded by bush it was very peaceful, just what we needed!
Would highly recommend Misty Glen to others.
Thank you again :)

What a lovely place to stay!! The house is so cosy and inviting and the extras, such as milk and bread, are so thoughtful and much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as did our dog and the babies. It is the first time we have rented a holiday house with our dog and I must say it was all the more enjoyable because she was with us - thank you. Can't wait till our next stay at Misty Glen!

Our stay was comfy and pleasant. I was surprised with the little extras provided, and the attention to detail that make a stay more enjoyable. The cottage is nicely positioned but yet, peaceful and quiet.
Highly recommended

Lovely property. Very conveniently located. One small issue, no flyscreen on the 2nd bedroom, so cannot open the window if there are mosquitos.

We were looking for a peaceful bush retreat for a weekend getaway and "Misty Glen" gave us just that.
A short drive to Blackheath village and gardens, with a bush walking track across the road.
Our small dog enjoyed his time their too.

Really liked the location. Easy to walk into Blackheath with the dogs, pool was close by and the Pope's Glen walk just across the street. Easy to relax in the house. The beds were great, spa was fun and air conditioning made it very comfortable on the hot days.

My partner book this weekend as a surprise for our anniversary and while normally Id say Im not one for country cottage the owners/ managers of this delightful little one thought of everything from tin foil to Tim Tams to really make this place feel like a home away from home! We were also very fortunate to get away from the Sydney heatwave and into the Ivanhoe Hotels jazz festival where we met some very talented musicians just fantastic and our dog buddy agrees!

We have stayed at Misty Glen at least 6 times and obviously WE LOVE IT! So does the dog. We've been in winter and in summer and it is always beautifully set up for us. In winter the fire is going and the lights are low and the music is playing as you walk in the door - so welcoming. The beds are cosy and it is so lovely to lie in bed and look out over the Glen especially on a misty morning. Thanks Misty - we'll be back.
