Location

Just 3 hrs drive north of Sydney, beautifully secluded with Panoramic water views. The house has open plan living with a huge entertainment deck. Pacific Palms is a small enclave locked in by Myall Lakes National Park, Wallis Lakes, Smiths lake, Booti Booti National Park, and the Pacific Ocean. Together make over 100 kilometres of lakes hugging the coastline with only sand dunes a lot of the time separating the lakes from the ocean.

Smiths lake is located in between Myall Lakes and Wallis Lake and is 20 mins drive south of Forster and 2.5/3 hours drive from Sydney. The house is perched 20 metres high on the lakes edge overlooking the Lake. This is one of the prized positions of Smiths Lake as it is in a secluded spot overlooking the most beautiful part of the Lake and fronting onto a lovely sandy beach. This part of the lake has lots of calm shallow sandy bottomed water to swim in (Ideal for kids).

The house is also a short stroll to the locals shops: bakery, grocery, butcher, liquor shop, take-away.

  • "we had the pleasure of staying at Tranquility for a week in December and it just wasn't long enough. the house was just fantastic, so well appointed and the location just magically. the kids and the dog loved the lake and the activities on offer. Tranquility lived up to its name as the minute we arrived we felt comfortable and relaxed, its so peaceful - we never got tired of looking at the view and even on the rainy day happily stayed in doors. thanks to Tracey for making the arrival so stress free and easy and thanks for a wonderful stay we will be back again ."

  • "Thank you thank you thank you!! This was an amazing way to begin the holiday season, with complete serenity, solitude and gorgeous views. 6 adults and two dogs had the time of their lives in beautiful accommodation, with views that go on forever. I really appreciate the owners and manager allowing us to bring our two (very well behaved, but large) dogs with us on holiday. A number of pet-friendly places restrict to poodley-types, but from the amazing quality of all furnishings, I can certainly see why they wanted to be sure about ???the kids??? before they acquiesced. The house, from front entry to back veranda, is just as elegant as can be; so modern, so beautifully furnished and so well supplied. Even the entertainment unit had the boys gasping in glee! There was more than enough space for three adult couples, with nightly ping-pong tournies to test our reflexes after a few toasts to the sunset over the water each night. The BBQ got a real workout, and I can highly recommend fresh local prawns and oysters. Why stay in one of the noisy, built-up main centres (Forster etc) when you can have your own lake-house, with direct access to the water, and views that go on forever? I would suggest that if you are considering a respite from the madness of the rat-race, Tranquillity at Smiths Lake will see you right. Spotlessly clean, abounding with features, relaxed, comfortable and SO HARD TO LEAVE!! "

  • "I'm always skeptical of the photos I see on the internet, but there's a reason there are so many photo's of the view. It really is this good. The house also lives up to and exceeded expectation. Nice living area, great kitchen, great deck, comfortable beds. The 4th bed is small with a double bed and 2 bunk beds, which caught us out a little (having two toddlers), but with a bit of rejigging in sleeping arrangements, it was fine. We had a problem with the dishwasher, but the owners have told us this was to be fixed. It's a very steep, but short walk down to the waters edge (about 5 mins with toddlers as you need to tread carefully), but it was great to not have to get in the car to go splashing about with the toddlers. Relaxing on the deck, particularly as the sun sets, is awesome. The people renting out Tranquility were helpful for directions, and local places to eat. So I would highly recommend Tranquility."

  • "Hi Tracy We had a wonderful stay at Tranquility. The house was superb - modern, comfortable, well appointed and easy to look after, which all made for a very relaxing week. The view from the balcony is spectacular at any time and the sunsets from the beach in front made for some great afternoons. The kids also enjoyed their stay - the table tennis got plenty of use and the lorikeets and kookaburras were well fed. They even managed to catch a few flatheads in the lake. We certainly look forward to staying again in the future. "
