Description

Unwind and soak up the peace of Gretel Farm's country haven.

After a day's travelling or sightseeing, Gretel Farm is the place to relax in an idyllic setting. Listen to the birds, look for a koala, chat to the chooks, stroll the formal gardens, rainforest and parklands.

Feeling the call of the sea? The nearest beach is just 20 minutes away, and cafes and fine shopping are as close as 9 minutes away in Bangalow, with more choices in Byron and Lismore. There are many bushwalks close by.

The cosy self-contained B&B is a modern studio attached to the main house and sleeps 1 couple in a loft bedroom with king size bed. Downstairs, the sofa converts to a double bed, ideal for a small family. TV, DVD and CD/MP3 player. Pets are welcome.

Rates include a delicious breakfast of local produce including fruit, jam, honey, muesli, bread, bacon, real coffee, tea as well as fresh eggs from our farm.

Two front bedrooms in the Gretel Farm homestead overlook the lush gardens with french doors opening to the verandah. Elegantly furnished in period style with brass beds, Gretel Farm bedrooms share a bathroom and kitchen with your host. Accommodation for 1 - 2 couples. For each room there is a 15% discount on B&B studio accommodation prices.

"My husband and I were looking for something more peaceful than the pace of Byron Bay itself and we found this just out of Bangalow at Gretel Farm. Our host, Vicki was gracious and welcoming. The separate cottage with loft bedroom provided comfort and privacy and the cupboards and fridge were well stocked with local and organic produce covering breakfast needs and snacks. The property is beautifully located on a quiet road surrounded by macadamia farms and is a short drive to great restaurants, Byron Bay with easy access to the hinterland tourist spots. If you want privacy, comfort and ambience then this is the place to stay and we look forward to returning again one day soon especially now there is a fantastic, large size pool to cool you on warm nights after busy days of touring."

"Gretel Farm was the perfect place to recharge our batteries. Gorgeous outlook over garden area, quiet and comfortable. Host Vicky was welcoming (including of our dog) and friendly while respectful of our privacy.
