Description

Wattle-Wilde is a uniquely designed cottage in a secluded bushland setting that is extremely private and tranquil whilst only a short walk or drive to the many attractions of the vineyards; wine tasting, restaurants, golf courses, galleries and regular music events.

Beautifully appointed and scrupulously maintained, it is the only cottage on our 25 acre property. We have preserved much of the native vegetation which provides a refuge for a variety of birds and wildlife such as wallabies. Join the growing number of our regular guests for a cottage experience that will not disappoint.

The cottage contains two roomy queen-sized bedrooms that sleep up to four adults, a large bathroom with a two person corner spa bath with a view to the stars, a self-contained kitchen with four-burner cooktop and microwave, a cosy lounge area with slow combustion wood fire, television, video, DVD/CD player and iPod dock, timber floors and ceilings, ducted air-conditioning, barbeque with roasting hood, undercover parking, verandah and deck from which to embibe the local drop. For your enjoyment, we provide you with a complimentary bottle of Lovedale Shiraz or Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc. Quality linen and towels are supplied and breakfast provisions can be provided for an extra charge, if ordered in advance. Breakfast hampers are $12.50 per person per day, with a two day minimum. The hamper consists of local Nulkaba eggs, Lovedale Smokehouse bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, bread, muesli, milk, orange juice, marmalade, butter and good plunger coffee. Early check-in and late check-out (up to 3pm) may be possible. Enquire when booking.

Accommodation rates per couple per night are reduced for bookings of more than one couple and also for stays exceeding two nights.

Guest Reviews

  • "We stayed here for a quite and relaxing weekend ... which is exactly what we got. The cottage was beautiful and had an abundance of firewood which was a nice touch as it was the middle of winter. The hosts made a quick stop to welcome us and we were then alone for the weekend. The Lovedale wineries are close and easily accessible and we were able to enjoy these and return to the cottage to sit on the balcony overlooking the bush and enjoy our newly acquired wines. I would recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to unwind and enjoy their weekend away from the city."

  • "We have been here now twice and are definately going to go back for a third. We love staying here every time. The owners are wonderfully warm and friendly people, the cabin is extremely well appointed and cosy, and its so close to all the vinyards. A perfect weekend away."

  • "A gorgeous little cottage in a beautiful location surrounded by nature. The spa looking out onto the bush was a real bonus, particularly after a day dancing at the Jazz in the Vines concert. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of native birds and to see the kangaroos/wallabies come up to the house. The cottage was well stocked, very clean and well maintained. It was great to explore the other side of the Hunter Valley; the less populated side and experience some fantastic new vineyards. We would definitely return. "
