Nestled snug into the side of the hill with views over the Huon River this fully self - contained cottage offers you relaxation, peace and privacy.
Kay Creek Cottage was home to a local artist for many years and has been completely refurbished in a way that retains its original character and ambiance yet offers all modern conveniences.
Situated ½ km south of Franklin, not only will you be close to the Wooden Boat School, Arts & Crafts Shops, Wineries, Cafes and Restaurants but you’ll also have just a short drive to the southern most tip of Australia, Hastings Caves and Tahune Airwalk.
Franklin is a small historic village in the beautiful Huon Valley, an easy 30 minutes south of Hobart.
Opening in January Kay Creek Cottage has already made its way into the hearts of all who have rested within her walls.
Snuggle up by the wood stove or relax on the balcony and watch life unfurl on the river below. Either way you can be sure your batteries will be recharged for the next leg of your journey.
Wild life abounds; hawks and eagles can be seen flying overhead whilst the little blue wren and his mate forage for food down below. As night falls the tiny Bennett’s wallaby makes an appearance just outside your window.

Just thought we would drop you a line to say we had a wonderful two days in Franklin, and we decided that out of all the cottages we stayed in during our 12 day holiday, yours was exceptional. Anyone who has cared to asked about our holiday has received nothing but glowing reports about your cottage. The fire burning when we arrived, the little extras - biscuits and sweets were all noted, thank you, and the unbelievable amount of provisions was staggering. We were wanting for nothing. Your cottage was a rare find.
