Description

A beautifully presented mountain cottage with all the charm and character of the 1900's. Set on a large 1.3 acre of old established garden and within walking distance to cafes, galleries Katoomba mall and The Three Sisters.

Three bedrooms, lovely lounge with open fire, gas central heating, timber floors and quality furniture. Your choice of a Victorian bathroom with a clawfoot bath or second bathroom with a spa. The Cottags is light and airy with a large balcony facing the mountains. Outdoors you will find a gas barbeque. Relax and enjoy the moment.

THINGS TO DO IN KATOOMBA & ENVIRONS:

The Blue Mountains start only 65 km west of Sydney. They are not really blue, they only look as if they are because of the eucalyptus oil in the air.

Most visitors go straight to Katoomba, center of Blue Mountains. Conveniently, many of the attractions are also here.

This include the Scenic Skyway and the Scenic Railway - the steepest railway in the world (45 degrees). It's also home to one of the most famous views of Australia - the Three Sisters.
If all bushwaking makes you hungry, there are loads of caffes and restaurants. The town is very artistic and you will find many art galleries, craft and antique shops around.

For nightlife, Katoomba has lots of bars and entertainment ranging from rock to jazz.

We all found the house totally delightful - all the charm of the past (beautifully furnished) with all the luxuries of the present inc modern kitchen, flat screen tv and the very necessary central heating. We loved everything about Floris and would love to come back in nicer weather so we can properly experience the lovely garden."

  • "This was our second stay at Floris on Martin. We had a fantastic stay both times! The cottage is very pleasant, plenty of space, homely and well maintained. It's only a short walk away from Echo Point in one direction and the cafes of Katoomba Street in the other. The cottage is dog friendly which is a big plus in our view. We would definitely stay at Floris again!"

Even though we had some rain the garden being so lush and the house so beautifully decorated made it easy to stay home, read and relax.The children enjoyed the plasma TV and DVDs and the adults made good use of the spa bath. We would definitely like to visit again and will recommend the property to our friends."

Our two children love the garden, as does our dog and we both enjoy all the facilities the house offers. The underfloor heating and log fire are especially welcome in cooler weather.   • "Our family of six spent 3 nights at Floris and enjoyed the location and home very much. The under floor heating meant it was cosy early morning and late afternoon. We lit the fire (bought the firewood at Franklins in town), played games, sat on the balcony and relaxed. My golden retriever loved the garden and enjoyed early morning walks to the 3 Sisters - 30 - 40 minuts round trip. Thanks very much."
