Mona Vale is the ideal base for visitors who want to enjoy the Northern Beaches lifestyle including swim or surf Sydney Northern Beaches, to walk, fish and picnic along the still- waterways (Pittwater) and the bush, to bike ride from MOna Vale to Church Point or up to Terry Hills. On the oceanside, Mona Vale is flanked by a chain of surfing beaches and partly-protected bays, while it is bound by Pittwater and Ku-ring-gai Chase to the north and by the Narrabeen Lakes to the south.
Both Pittwater and the Cowan Creek system which meanders through Ku-ring-gai Chase give access to the Hawkesbury and Broken Bay which separates the Manly Warringah peninsular and Northern Beaches from the Central Coast tourist region.
