This gracious country homestead is situated on 150 glorious acres, overlooking the surrounding valley and only a 5 minute scenic drive to Pokolbin past the Mount View vineyards and picturesque farmland. Orangevale homestead sits alone on the property so there's no sharing the property with any other guests. Just you, the kangaroos, rabbits and cattle grazing with stunning views from the wrap around verandahs in all directions.
Restoration work was completed recently on this beautifully appointed property which boasts quality furnishings and offers all the modern comforts while still retaining its old world charm and character.
This meticulously cared for homestead features three queen bedrooms each with new quality mattresses and linen, blankets, goose down duvets and electric blankets. We have two bathrooms, one being the original restored washhouse.- 2 showers, 2 baths and 2 toilets. The house boasts original floorboards which are now beautifully polished, high pressed metal ceilings, a fully functional new kitchen which has everything you need to self cater with top quality cookware, cutlery and crockery as well as stainless steel appliances, dishwasher and even a Smeg retro fridge to fit in with the old style. Large super effective reverse cycle air conditioning for summer or winter, ceiling fans, flat screen TV, DVD and speaker dock/clock radio for iPod, iPhone and table tennis. The lounge room opens out through french doors onto the verandah which has an outdoor dining setting and Webber BBQ , just the place to relax whilst taking in the magnificent views.

WINE & GREAT FOOD
With over 120 vineyards throughout the Hunter, a map at Orangevale indicates where the majority are located. Most have Cellar Doors and offer wine tasting opportunities while others also have their own restaurants. We are situated adjacent to Tallavera Grove Vineyard and Cellar Door and Bistro Molines.
A number of local companies provide specialised and knowledgeable tours through the vineyards from mini buses to limo's and we can assist you with information regarding these.
CONCERTS.......On concert weekends there is a shuttle bus which picks up and drops off from our front gate on request.
SHOPPING ...Hunter Valley Gardens has all kinds of shops from clothing and cafes to yummy chocolates.
FROM THE AIR...Try ballooning, skydiving, aerobatics or helicopter joy flights.
