Wattle Cottage is a cute little cottage ideal for a couple

- Dog owners seeking a country escape
- Writers/ artists retreat (quiet location / beautiful scenery)
- Freshwater fishing base (trout and bass in lake lyell / Oberon)
- Animal / Bird watchers
Private and peaceful with plenty of wildlife and lovely views of the blue mountains.
clean and tidy with a newly renovated bathroom and fresh coat of paint inside and out - freshly cut flowers in every room and Log fire in lounge room and split system air conditioner for heating or cooling.
Premium quality Firewood available on site at additonal cost of $15 per bag
Set on a 200 acre property.
The cottage is very cosy and has all the mod cons:-
Wattle cottage has a fully fenced garden
and has seperate parking /cottage entrance to the main farm house which is occupied by owners Michael, Fiona .
(located aprox 40 metres walk away)
Full access to farm facilities - bushwalks / animals
Bicycles /fishing gear - no need to ask
(they are located in the shed behind the cottage)
Collect fresh eggs from the chickens each day
Private and peaceful -
wake to the sound of birds not traffic!
plenty of wildlife - kangaroos etc..
Dam close to cottage for yabbie fishing and dogs that love to swim (this dam is outside the fully fenced garden)
fresh water swimming hole in walking distance from cottage
Outdoor entertaining area / BBQ with views out over
the valley and gum trees.
Lounge and bedroom with view onto vege patch
and flowering courtyard garden
IDEAL LOCATION
5 minutes from Lake lyell /swimming/fishing water sports
20 minutes drive to horse riding at Werriberri trail rides
15 minutes from Lithgow town/shops/supermarket/bottleshop
35 mins to Zig Zag railway or Jenolan caves
30 - 40 mins drive to Blue mountains tourist attractions

2 PET COWS - BOO , BELLA AND BOB
2 PET HORSES - BOBBY AND SONNET
One night stays may be available midweek - 2 nights or more preferred!
(some one night bookings may not be accepted - so please enquire ! )
On weekends we have a 2 night minimum
(unless it is a last minute booking and it is available for the one night)

Flatscreen TV / digital free to air and plenty of satellite foxtel channels - sports / lifestyle / movies / childrens / music / history / national geographic / discovery / comedy / just to name a few (great reception)
Split System Air conditioner for cooling / heating
Slow combustion log fireplace
DVD / CD and great movie/music library
local phone available and Telstra Mobile reception is good
King size bed with electric blanket and quality cotton sheets / feather doona and fluffy Bathrobes (we have pillows but please bring your own if you have preference for a particular type)
(cot or single foldout for child also available - this can be set up in the main bedroom)
Kitchen - with large bar fridge/toaster/kettle/gas stove and oven /electric oven/sink/ microwave
All kitchen crockery and utensils for cooking
Fresh eggs/tea/coffee/spreads/sugar/ litre of milk/bread/butter/cereal
Other basic cooking ingredients oils/salt/pepper/flour etc...
(please bring your own teatowels)
Shower and toilet with eco loo.
We do not have wifi - But if you have a laptop with your own plug in dongle for telstra wireless internet connection you will receive reception at the cottage
(these prepaid dongles are available at mot post offices or telstra outlets).
Or there is internet available at the lithgow library

- Pets welcome inside if house trained
- We do require all dogs remain on a leash when walking near farm animals
- off leash is ok around the cottage and other areas
- Freshwater clear dam nearby (summer swimming hole)
- Secure fenced area around the cottage
suitable for both small and large dogs
- Gravel garden around the cottage and entertaining area
with willow fence 1.8m height.
- Not suitable for dogs that dig under fences or
can jump over (aprox 1 metre at lowest point)
- BBQ and large grassed area fenced and overlooking valley
- Doggie door for small to medium dogs
- We do request the owners with pets that shed hair use the vaccum before departure
- All pets are to be treated for fleas before arrival at the cottage.
(sheltered balcony steps out onto garden for pets if you want to leave them outside while you are away or they can use doggie door to access the cottage)
