Wallingat Coastal Hideaway is a hidden gem on the Mid North Coast.
High up on the Whoota mountain, nestled amongst the gum trees, you will find a secluded holiday house to delight you.
We have an outdoor fire pit for the winter months, and a canoe you may use on the lake.
Open plan living perfect for that relaxed holiday feel.Step out on to the deck and enjoy a BBQ as you take in the view, tranquillity and privacy is assured.
Our stylish comfortable lounges make viewing in a movie a true pleasure, room to snuggle up together or stretch out and relax. Our large windows surround you with natural ever changing views of the Australian bush.
During winter, enjoy the warmth of our wood fire,completing the relaxed bush feeling.
Our large dining table with bench seat allows for all to be seated together, be it for a game of cards or enjoying a meal after cooking up a feast or that quick and easy holiday meal on our modern appliances. Gas cooking is a breeze.
There are 3 bedrooms the master with ensuite, each with large windows taking in the stunning natural views of the Australian bush.
A separate bathroom with full bath completes the top floor.
Step downstairs to our spacious rumpus room and find this complete with TV and DVD with 2 sofa beds,a perfect retreat for teens and children alike.
The property is boarded by the Wallingat National Park on 2 sides, and has a large fully fenced cleared yard, perfect for outdoor play.
Our NEW Games shed contains full size table tennis, foosball table & darts board.
There is a Canoe for your use~ this needs to be transported down to the lake
The bird life is simply stunning, and you will be visited by an abundance of wild life, from kangaroos, possums, bandicoots and even the odd echidna has been known to wander through the yard.
Upon leaving the tranquil surrounds you will find yourself totally relaxed and refreshed.
The bedding configuration is:
Top floor: 3 x bedrooms:- 1 x queen bed, 1 x double bed, 1 x set bunks, (reading room containing 1 x single sofa bed)
Rumpus room: 1 double sofa bed, 1 x click-clack sofa
Around 3hrs 15mins north of Sydney & under 2 hours north of Newcastle, nestled within the Wallingat National Park overlooking the beautiful Wallis Lake.
You will find yourself 11 mins drive from the popular surfing beaches of Bluey's, Boomerang & the child friendly Elizabeth Beach.
For local shopping and cafes we are mins away from the villages of Smiths Lake & Pacific Palms.
With the larger Forster a 25 min drive north.
Whoota lookout: one of the best natural viewing platforms on the mid-north coast, provides magnificent views of the parks eucalypt forests and 100 kilometres of coast line from Port Macquarie to Port Stephens.
Here you will have scenic views of Wallis Lake, Seven Mile Beach, inland to Wallingat River and Great Dividing Range, and southwards to Seal Rocks.
Wallingat National Park: Explore the National Forest from your own back yard! Walking tracks lead from Sugar Creek through cabbage palm and flooded gum forests. There are picnic facilities at Sugar Creek, Gur-um-bee ('white gum tree') and Wallingat River.
Great Lakes: Wallis Lake, Smiths Lake & Myall Lake are all within 10mins and each contain boat ramps, & picnic areas. Enjoy exploring the beauty and diversity of the Great Lakes region.
Coomba Village: 15mins to the west you will arrive in the village of Coomba, a village were the kangaroos can be seen hopping down the main street. A village store will provide an ice cream on a warm day, and the park by the waters of the Wallis Lake a perfect picnic venue. Sunset is brilliant from this location. A boat ramp can also be found at this location.
Beaches: From Wallingat Coastal hideaway you will find yourself 11 mins drive from the popular surfing beaches of Bluey's, Boomerang & the child friendly Elizabeth Beach, and the beautiful Shellys beach for the naturalists amongst us.
Exploring a little further will have you within 20mins of 6 more local beaches. Enjoy a different beach each day, and return back to the tranquillity of your own hideaway at the end of each day.
