Description
We are an easy one hour's drive north of Melbourne either up the Hume Freeway or Melba Highway. We promise that when you settle in, it will feel like a million miles away.
We are able to offer weekend or weekly accommodation in one of our two 3 bedroom country cottages which can both accommodate 8 guests each.
Both cottages are fully self-contained with a cosy wood fire for those chilly days or nights.
The homestead is set amongst tranquil gardens with seating areas which are great for a chat with a glass of Chardy in hand.
The closest township with supermarket, fuel, chemist etc is Broadford just off the Hume Freeway which is a 15 minute drive from us.
The next biggest township with Safeway, Coles etc is Seymour north of Broadford which is a 25 minute drive from us.

Not Just for the Horse Lover
We are open to anybody that would just like to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We welcome bicycle, hiking/bushwalking and 4WD groups just to name a few.
Everyone can benefit from a weekend away on a farmstay getaway with a chance to experience the abundant wildlife this region has to offer - or maybe just to relive a childhood memory.
Lazy Days & Nights
You are able to start up the BBQ under the shady gazebo for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just relax and watch the dusk crawl in.
On those clear nights, we recommend you step outside for a glimpse of the night sky - don't forget to bring your telescope or borrow one from a good friend - you won't regret it.
The area surrounding Halls on Falls Homestead has some great hiking tracks, including 'Mt Buggery' located across the creek if you need to burn some energy. 20mins to the top is the record to date (by walking).
There are also numerous tracks through the nearby Mt Disappointment State Forest to explore.
The Surrounding Area
Our region has an enormous amount to offer visitors ranging from the Goulburn River which is only a 10 minute drive and Yea township only 30 minutes drive, visiting the local wineries, pubs and farmers markets. There is also good fishing just past the township of Strath Creek at Richards Bridge.
For the bicycle rider, horse rider or walking enthusiasts, we are only a 9 minute drive from Kerrisdale which has an access point for the Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail which can take you in either direction towards Tallarook or Yea and onto Mansfield.
You will realise that maybe just one weekend is not enough time to take in what is offered in this great part of Victoria. We are sure you will want to return and start where you left off - or maybe just do it all over again!
(Due to our vulnerable free range farm animals, we do not allow guests to bring their dog/s. We do have details of a Kennel/cattery in Seymour or Broadford if you are in need of this service which is only 20mins drive away).
