Riverfront Cabin
This cosy cabin is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac (accessible by road) surrounded by mountains and located on the river bank, 5 mins from the 24/7 car ferry (you can see the ferry lights from the deck). Nestled in the picturesque MacDonald Valley minutes from Wisemans Ferry the river cabin is the ideal spot for a quiet winter getaway or a recreational summer holiday with your own private boat ramp to the MacDonald river and with the adjoining Hawkesbury River nearby. Alternatively, you may want to leave your boat anchored at the front of the River Cabin.
Waterskiers or cruisers will find this spot the perfect place to launch from with ease. At the end of the day, retire to the large waterfront deck for a BBQ with a glass of wine or a cold beer and listen to the birds or the splashing of the fish in the river (there is a double sized hammock located on the deck). You could try your luck at fishing. There are a few flatheads in the river waiting to be your dinner. Just throw a line in from your own backyard.
The fully fenced-in front lawn faces the beautiful mountains and a large paddock where you can see kangaroos arrive for their morning and evening meals.
This cabin sleeps 5. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed and 1 with a double and a single. The chaise in the lounge room could also be utilised for an extra child. A new bathroom and a full size modern kitchen.

HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
Bushwalking such as the Great North Road - a convict built piece of Australia's history, wilderness walks, canoeing & kayaking, cruising the river, family friendly, fishing from the waterfront, Golf Course, Lawn Bowls, great views, absolute water front, horse riding, rock-climbing & abseiling. If you are more the Adventurous types you may like to travel further on and take a challenging one-hour dirt track drive to the Hunter Valley wine region. There is also a nice swimming beach in Wisemans Ferry Park just across on the ferry.

AMENITIES: In Wisemans Ferry you will find the essentials you need. There is a small supermarket as well as a well-stocked service station and a pharmacy. For your liquid sustenance you can always pick up a case of beer or a bottle of wine at the Bowling Club or the pub. The Wisemans Ferry Inn has great steaks, etc. You can also eat at The Riverside Restaurant, the Bowling Club or The Retreat Restaurant (Al-Carte Menu). If you venture 17km towards St Albans you'll find great dining such as the Fickle Wombat, Wellum Lake Restaurant, and the historic Settler's Arms Pub.
FACILITIES: Road Access, Your own Private Boat Ramp, Air conditioning (reverse cycle), BBQ (gas) on large waterfront deck, CD Player, LCD TV in lounge and another TV in bedroom (no TV reception), 2 DVD players and large DVD library, full size modern kitchen, modern bathroom.
Mobile phone reception OK for Telstra, Optus and 3, not Vodafone. Public phones are in Wisemans Ferry.
