A superb architect designed luxury retreat home with an amazing ocean frontage. Occasionally see whales and dolphins glide by and yachts heading along the coast.
Take a walk along the pristine white sandy beaches surrounding this magnificent area. It's a 500 metre walk to a 10km long white surf beach and lagoon. To finish it off each day take a plunge into the heated in deck pool and stoke up the outside open-fire. Each of the four bedrooms (Ocean Penthouse, Terracotta, Fudge and Pebble) has a walk-in robe and en-suite with three bedrooms on the main level and our large Penthouse Suite upstairs with unsurpassed privacy and views out to sea. In winter enjoy heated towel rails and heated floors in all bathrooms.
The Ocean Retreat sleeps four couples or eight singles in split zip kings with two roll-away beds (at extra cost) for up to 10 guests. We also offer one porta-cot for an infant at $35 per stay with linen. The Ocean Retreat is all about settling in with friends and family. Falmouth and Tasmania's East Coast
Falmouth is the perfect location to base yourself on the East Coast. It's only 30 minutes north of Bicheno, and around an hour to Freycinet National Park in the south. To the North visit Scamander, St. Helens, The Bay of Fires and Binalong Bay, all within 40 mins. Inland just 12 minutes away is the quaint country town of St. Mary's and not far from there you are into stunning alpine country around Ben Lomond National Park. The beaches on this coast are among the best in Australia and very crowd free! From Falmouth there is a pristine white sandy beach stretching over 10kms north. Just to the south there are some smaller hidden gems along the coast from Four Mile Beach and past the Chain of Lagoons. In Falmouth itself there are no shops (we like that) so its a quiet, safe and peaceful place where you can stroll to the beaches and the tidal lagoon just a few minutes away. Falmouth was the first settlement on the East Coast. Across the road from our property there is a small local community centre offering a Tennis Court. Our Guests have access to the Club and we supply tennis balls and racquets.
The Ocean Retreat
Without doubt The Ocean Retreat is one of the best of it's kind in Tasmania. We can assure you that the quality of the building, it's features and it's furnishings are world class. All indoor furniture is hand made by Jimmy Possum (Bendigo) and the outdoor settings are from Casual Life and Kingsley-Bate. Appliances are Miele, Leibherr and Franke. The king sized beds are 5 star hotel quality and we offer a full range of L'Occitane personal toiletries on arrival including soap, bath gel, shampoo and conditioner.
We do not accept functions or weddings and parking is limited to a maximum 4 cars onsite.
