Description
Apollo Bay is a drive away from the surrounding attractions including the Great Ocean Road itself, The Great Otway Walk, Kennett River koala and wildlife spotting, Great Otway National Park and lighthouse, Otway Fly. The bay itself is great for surfing or a game of golf on the 18 hole course.
For the keen cyclist, it is a beautiful and challenging ride to breakfast at Wye River cafe, which takes approximately one hour (one way). Apollo Bay is also at the gateway of the Great Ocean Walk, as well as a number of smaller day trips and walks in the Otway National Park.
For those that prefer less strenuous activities, we are located in a quiet street only 8 minutes’ walk from the Apollo Bay shops, pubs and restaurants (or 1 minute drive – yes we have tested it). This includes the Apollo Bay Day Spa (we have $10 discount vouchers available) the open fire heated pub with views of the bay, or the numerous cafes and restaurants that include Spanish, Thai and Italian cuisine as well as the traditional seafood (fish and chips) and two local pubs.
Accomodation Main Features
Come and stay in our lovely warm beach house in Apollo Bay. With large indoor and outdoor entertaining areas, our house provides flexibility to friends and family, from two people through to twelve.
The house is fully equipped with two bathrooms, dishwasher, microwave and large fridge, while the separate laundry has a large capacity top-loading washing machine and dryer. The main rooms are centrally heated, while the bedrooms have individual heaters and warm Sheridan blankets to keep you cosy at night.
The property has five bedrooms and two bathrooms, with three queen bedrooms in the main house, and a double and two double bunks (making four simple beds) in the bungalow. Please note that the bungalow is detached from the main house (by about 5 metres under the covered outdoor area) and does not have its own bathroom.
Our large and fully fenced backyard is perfect for accessing the full autumn sun, or make use of our heavily laden lemon tree to cook up a storm in the kitchen (seriously, one of our three trees must have a hundred lemons already!).
