Whitehall is nestled in the heart of the village at 11 Learmonth Street (it is in a very quiet location with water views). Only a few minutes walk to the main street, the beaches and piers, the steam train.

The historic 1927 Guesthouse from the paddlesteamer era (the last Guesthouse built in Queenscliff) has been restored specifically for the use of family/friends, work or any other group.

This unique property offers the space and freedom for small groups of 10 or more (to larger groups of up to 75 people), to enjoy each others company, and to explore the special fishing township of Queenscliff.

Ideal accommodation for the Blues Train events as it is located just up the road from the train station.

Catering options include bringing your own food,shopping when you get here, there is terrific fresh produce available locally, organising in house catering or eating out at local restaurants cafes and pubs.

A large commercial dishwasher and kitchen makes catering very easy and light work!, even for a large group.

The accommodation

Whitehall is ideal for Families and friends, but equally it is a great option for conferencing and work groups, and any community groups.

The Guesthouse sleeps up to 75 people (but don't be put off; it is equally good for smaller numbers of 15 plus) in 23 double bedrooms - all with queen-size beds - and 9 other bedrooms with a total of 20 single beds and 2 sets of bunk beds. Guests share 9 bathrooms, including 8 with showers and one with a bath.

We often have smaller family/friend groups, and they love the homely feel and personal space Whitehall gives. So if you are a small group - or a larger group, this is a great place to stay.

Children love the space and freedom it gives, inside and out, and the excitement on arrival is huge!

It is toddler friendly (under supervision!) with stair gates in place. Pets are considered at the discretion of the booking agent.

Doonas, pillows and extra blankets are supplied, and all bed and personal linen including towels is supplied at an extra charge of $10 per person per stay. (beds are not made, but can be on request)

Please note we have many happy groups celebrating occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries, but we are not a loud party venue due to our location within a residential area and noise restrictions apply. Definitely no 'Hens Parties' 'Bucks nights' or end of year footy trips !.

We have had lots of friends and extended families stay, and the response has been terrific:

Our group of 28 ladies absolutely loved staying at Whitehall, they were all comfortable and thank you for having our beds made up as requested by us, and thanks for the flowers we really appreciated it. Our meal at the bowling club was very good, and on the second night that we stayed one of the girls cooked us a meal, we were able to have one long table, we had brought table cloths and candles and it looked very special, we had made this night a theme night, where we had to dress up as if we were at the royal wedding, I was Catherine and Marlene was Prince William, we had the Queen Mother, Princess Diana came back, Queen Elizabeth, (scarf, tartan skirt and she even had the corgies with her) she didn’t quite look like she was dressed for the wedding! Oh and Elton John was there too!
The girls loved our time at Whitehall & Queenscliff, enjoyed the golf at Swan Island and Lonsdale, in fact I will be getting back to you with a return booking for next year, I suspect that I will have more coming once the word gets around at all the fun that was had by all. My wish for you and Julie is that Whitehall is a huge success, it is, as a group fantastic to have that type of accommodation to yourselves.

Hello - I just wanted to write and thank you for the weekend we had at Whitehall at the end of July. It was really perfect for the large family and friends, and we LOVED LOVED LOVED the kitchen (especially the incredible dishwasher that quite literally made washing dishes fun!)!
