A beautifully kept Edwardian Cottage - once an old railway workers cottage dating back to 1905. Come and stay behind the white picket fence in a lovely tree lined street.
This is a two bedroom home each room has a queen size bed, a fully equiped kitchen, lovely back courtyard that receives the morning sun, lock up carport and street parking.
A speaker system is there all you need to do is pug in your own IPod or MP3 player and you can set the mood for your holiday.
The Area
Only 500 metres to Dome Cafe and the railway station where you can use the public transport to go to the city or venture further down the track to the port city of Fremantle.
The 8th Avenue shopping precinct is just across the tracks and has some very interesting boutique and antique shops with plenty of eating options - including fish and chips, 2 x Thai restaurants, Turkish Kebabs and various different styled cafes. (approx 1km)
This area also boasts banks, post office, IGA Supermarket, chemist, numerous styles of Asian grocers, fresh fruit and veg market and hair and beauty salons.
If you are coming to Perth for a stay and then heading to the South West please let me know if we can help you with accommodation as we also manage a property in Yallingup for friends. Yallingup for those that don't know is in the Margaret River Wine Region and a beautiful part of our State.

We choose to look for a stayz property close to all the big city delights that Maylands offers for us country folk. We were so pleased with the accuracy of the description for Maylands Cottage and how it suited the needs of our family while not hindering a cosy, stylish holiday. We even lit the fire! Close to all things such a comfortable base. We will be back!
We liked the little touches of some children's toys as well.

Thanks Janine for such a lovely stay at the cottage. It was perfect for a family stay in such a convenient location. The photos don't do the cottage j justice. It is so pretty and well appointed. We will be using the cottage a lot more in the future. You won't find better value in Perth.

A dream house! Very comfortable & reasonably priced. I bought bubble bath to make use of the large bath. Lovely furnishings & linen with a good size kitchen supplied with everything you could need. Area is quiet & a nearby cafe Chapels On Whatley serves a great coffee & breakfast. Ample street parking & would stay again. Thank you.

We came from the UK to visit our daughter and new granddaughter and needed somewhere to feel at home, to feel like we 'belonged'. Maylands Cottage fitted our criteria perfectly; we could carry on normal life, albeit 9000 miles from home. It was difficult to leave and if in Perth again, we would certainly want to go back.

This house was perfect for us. It was in a great location close to shops and friends. Albeit it small, it had a front and back garden and was close to parks and all that Perth has to offer.

Would most certainly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Perth. As I'm originally from Perth using this cottage as a base for access to all Perth's offerings was hugely convenient.
The cottage itself is also lovely, cosy and practical.
Basically great place on all fronts.

Maylands Cottage was a great little place from which to explore Perth and Fremantle. Nicely decorated and a relaxed feel, the cottage was perfect for our family. The train station only a few hundred metres away was our access to anywhere in the city within 15-20 minutes. If you are sick of the bland grey walls of hotel rooms, stay here and enjoy a nice relaxing getaway.

Perfect location. Central to airport and the city. We usually stay at International Hilton Hotels and decided to try something different. Being in a self contained house really makes the difference. Not only cuts down the cost, but makes you feel at home. We enjoyed our stay in your very homely house and would be more than happy to let other people know about this accommodation. Thank you.
