Three bedroom house right across from the Balnarring Beach foreshore - just a short 100 metre walk along the creek reserve on you are on the sand. This simple but comfortable three bedroom house allows you to enjoy all the beach and wine/gourmet food region has to offer - in 1950's style worthy of any Mad Men episode.
With three spacious bedrooms, two with queen size beds and the third with two bunks, the house can sleep up to 8 people. Realistically, it is comfortable for groups of 4-6.
The house has a good sized outdoor veranda with gas BBQ, outdoor teak setting, generous backyard which is fully fenced so safe for kids and dogs, as well as a laundry with washing machine.
There are two bathrooms, one inside with a full bathroom outside, which is perfect for rinsing off after a swim at the beach.
Features include: Slow combustion heater, reverse cycle air conditioning and heating, microwave, stereo, flat screen LCD TV and DVD Player, washing machine and gas B.B.Q.
There are also plenty of toys for the kids, including a fort in the backyard, cubby house with slide, sandpit and massive springfree trampoline.
Tenants are required to supply their own linen (flat sheets, sheets, towels and pillow cases). Don't forget to bring a couple of tea towels as well.
Linen can be provided at an extra charge at $25 per bed.

There are so many things to do down at the Draper Shack. Here are some of our favourites that we can recommend.
Eat:
very good italian in Balnarring Village - be sure to make a reservation as this place is very popular
The Heritage Tavern in Balnarring - lovely garden area which is great for the kids to run around with a sandpit to boot
Flinders Hotel - recently redone and gets good reviews for an up market pub
Somers General Store - great milkshakes and good for lunch
Do:
visit the red hill brewery - also does a good lunch/cheese plate
visit a local winery - there are loads of them, Stoniers and Port Phillip Estate are particularly worth a look

Just letting you know we had a lovely time at Balnarring Beach!
We would all love to stay again sometime down the track, but probably for a week this time rather than just a weekend. The kids loved the children's room, the toys and the trampoline particularly. Our daughter's quote was 'the children who live here are very lucky'. Thank you

We had a lovely week last week at Balnarring Beach - the weather was great and amazing relaxing time in your lovely home. Thank you so much. The proximity to the beach was fantastic, and the kids spent hours in the backyard, particularly the trampoline, swing and cubby house.

We had a great time at The Draper Shack and the house worked well for us as our grandchildren joined us for the weekend and it truly is a children friendly place.
They did not want to go home............

Draper Shack is the ideal house for a family looking to get away from it all and head to Balnarring.
It is only 100 metres to a safe swimming beach and there is lots of things to see and do only a short drive away. Plus the backyard is full of things to entertain the children (huge trampoline, cubby house and sandpit) so really you do not have to go anywhere if you dont want to.
In regards to the house, it is cute, clean and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has just about everything you need to whip up a feast. (The knives are the sharpest l have seen at a rental house).
I would highly recommend this home for a family getaway.

Thanks for the wonderful break. We so enjoyed our stay. The girls played for hours in the cubby house, and there was definitely plenty to do in the area. The kitchen was so nice to cook in. I usually bring my own knives so it was a real pleasure to find sharp ones in ours. Being pregnant, it was also wonderful to discover a comfortable bed away from home.
