The property is a newly constructed fully furnished and equipped island holiday home, built to a high standard at Couran Point on South Stradbroke Island, at the northern end of the Gold Coast, Australia’s premier holiday destination. Property has own sandy beach and jetty, and comes complete with a runabout for exploring the coast and fishing. Kayaks.
The Retreat has magnificent ensuite master bedroom, with lounge area, dressing room, jacuzzi, and balcony looking down the waterway, at first floor level. 4th bedroom also has office facilities. Bedrooms 2 & 3 (2 single beds in each), have own deck looking ot directly onto National Trust bushland. Spot your own golden wallaby!
Large open plan living area has luxury kitchen, dining area for 8, and lounge area, leading to sundeck with barbecue, table and chairs for outdoor living, sun-loungers.

Beaches on the quiet-water side of the island (facing the mainland, 1 mile away) are sandy Excellent walks though mainly National Trust bushland.
Access: By car or shuttle from Brisbane International Airport (50 minutes), then by water taxi right to own jetty. No cars or pets are allowed on the island. Secure free car parking available on the mainland.
Readily accessible is the central Gold Coast area, with its vibrant night life, international cuisines, world quality surf beaches, and all water sports including deep-sea fishing. Mainland has numerous theme parks and a rugged tropical jungle hinterland. Brisbane, a modern sophisticated cultured city is approx. 50 minutes away.
Weather: Summer (Dec-Feb) is hot (68-83 degF). Probably best time for north Europeans and north Americans is Autumn (March-May 61-77 degF) and Spring (Sept-Nov 59-77 degF). Winter (June-Aug 61-77 degF) has lovely warm sunny days, but chill-ish nights.
Lowest rate is for long-term lease. Enquiries welcome. Highest rate is for Xmas/New Year/Easter weeks. Property newly available after long-term lease, so most dates presently available.
