Allawah, built in 1911, is the old Methodist Church in the small village of Wallendbeen. Reinvented as a place for you and a close friend to relax, Allawah has everything you need for a weekend or a week. Just add the champagne!
Some simple breakfast items are provided but bring with you a hamper to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. Alternatively, it is a 15 min drive to nearby towns of Cootamundra, Harden and Young all have supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and pub meals.
If you feel like getting out and about, Allawah is a short drive to the Hilltops wine region, or if you are a cricket tragic, visit Cootamundra, Bradman's birthplace. In summer you can indulge in the cherries and peaches at Young. Travel a little further afield and find the Air Museum at Temora, or Junee with its Roundhouse and Railway Museum, to be followed by a visit to the Licorice Factory.
Detour on the way back to discover the architectural and historical surprises of surrounding villages like Galong, Wombat or Stockinbingal. Of course, if you can't drum up the energy for any of this, you may manage the short walk to the pub to meet the locals.

Allawah is elegant and peaceful, a perfect place for a restful weekend. It is beautifully and comfortably decorated - the bath in particular was a favourite spot to relax. We will be back.

Allawah: Old Methodist Church is an outstanding example of what other properties on Stayz should aspire to. From the moment you step through the front door, it is obvious the lengths to which the owners have gone in providing quality, comfort and an abundancy of extras for their guests. Nothing is overlooked and the included extras (from toiletries through to the kitchen provisions) are generous and thoughtful. This accommodation is worth driving a little out of the way for and you won't regret a minute of it. The photos do not lie! Well done - you deserve to booked out indefinitely - however, I'd hate not to be able to secure a booking!? Thank you Leanne and Tim for making my short stay overs such a delight. Cheers.

Allawah is one of the most well setup and outfitted cottages we have ever stayed in. All the fixtures and fittings are of the highest standard, and the decor is tastefully designed to complement the "old" building. Leanne and Tim provide everything you may need for a great stay, and then some more. Would certainly recommend this property, and will stay there again when next we visit the area.
